Werewolf Skins

Post » Wed Sep 01, 2010 6:30 pm

I remember some time back I played FCOM and at some point when I killed a werewolf I would find a werewolf 'suit'. I could then equip it and I would look like a werewolf. It looked great on a manequin as a trophy I thought it was part of MMM but Corpec said no. I never played any werewolf specific mod that I remember.

Does anyone knwon what I am talking about in regards to the werewolf 'suits'? I am pretty sure I did not imagine it.

Yes, that's from the werewolves in MMM. You aren't supposed to be able to loot the suits, but if using All Armor/Clothing playable in earlier releases of Wrye Bash's Bashed Patch you could. It should be fixed in recent versions, though, as they add exceptions for clothing/armor that really shouldn't be playable, which is why you don't see the werewolf suites in their inventories anymore.

I never used that tweak so it must have been a glitch. I would rather not Fix this, if you know what I mean. Do you know if in the Wrye 290 release, if I check all clothing and armor playable, I can get these back. Makes a GREAT trophy on a manequin!

Might have been a bug in a previous MMM release as well perhaps? Can't remember which WB version I was using when I got it with All Armor/Clothing Playable, but it was quite a while ago so certainly pre-287 or something. You could load MMM in the construction set and set it as playable. Personally, I found it kind of immersion breaking when it turned out that it wasn't werewolves my char was fighting but rather guys that dressed up as werewolves.

I always though that I got this because I skinned them after killing them? If I can get a texidermist to make a stuffed bear, why not a werewolf? :) Guess it is how you look at it.

At this point I guess it is more trouble than it is worth. Sure will miss the trophy displayed in my castle. Looked pretty scary.

This should work I guess although I haven't tested it. All it does is making the werewolf armor pieces playable: http://www.4shared.com/file/r-1EN60I/Marts_Monster_Mod_-_Wearable_W.html.

Well Merry Christmas! You're a peach. I will try this out tonight. I am level 23 and only met 4 lesser werewolves. Any suggestion where I can surely find one so I can test this?

Don't think there are any assured places. Outdoors at night and in dungeons that have Monster spawns - but with MMM that means quite an assortment of creatures to pick from.

EDIT: It works fine. :) You can spawn a Lesser Werewolf via the console and test it yourself:

player.placeatme XX009BC7

Change XX to the load order of Mart's Monster Mod.esm, easiest checked with OBMM or Wrye Bash.
