Secret Morse Code, Decode any1?

Post » Fri Sep 03, 2010 8:48 am

Ok so if you create a character and you get to the part where he ask u all the questions, kinda like a therapist. You answer all the questions and he says he will see you out. In THE SAME ROOM. Find the shelf that has the baseball, radio, and baseball glove. Turn you volume up(kinda hard to hear) and stand next to the radio. You will hear it go on and go in and out of static, listen long enough and morse code will start coming through. I have no idea what it is saying because i dont know morse code. So can any1 decipher it?

Idk if there will be some kind of spoiler or anything like that, but im interested in this. I noticed it the very first time i played it as i looted the heck out of the doctors house :D.

If any1 can find it out or maybe second me to make sure im not crazy and hearing things, that would be great!

No1 knows? I hope its a weapon location or a hint to some DLC. But it may be some useless thing like the old morse codes in fallout 3.

If you've ever seen some movies that take place in older times, they commonly communicate by saying, "Stop, dot, dash, dot, line, stop", thats Morse Code. You can probably research how to write it down online.

you write it like this

... - - - ...

Thats SOS in morse code
the dashes are the longer sounds, the dots the sharper shorter sounds

Ok so im going to go head and record it with xfire, and post a link to it. Im having troubles with this because not only does it sound like some of the beeps are going so fast i cant tell if they a peep or a dash but also the static starts while the message is still being transmitted, ill post video when ive got ready.

Nvm xfire doesnt support it...rawrrrrrrr

It's the exact same morse code used in FO3, and is indeed useless.

Ok i have a theory might refer to the secret safe that the prospectors are looking for. If you notice the tips and junk that pop up during loading, one says prospectors are looking for some rare unopened safe on the bottom of a irradiated mine shaft. This could possible deal with it. Since i still dont know what i says i can rule anything out. It may be as the person said above that its just a repeat of mores code in fallout 3 but i would sitlll like to know what it says.

That tip is just an example to describe the scavengers/prospectors in the Mojave Wasteland.

Ok so heres whats happening. Im encoding the 2nd video now. The third video crapped out on me and its gone and i cant get my video recorder for xfire to work again.

There is a TON of static so it is very hard to hear

On the third video, there are two radios in camp searchlight police station that are sitting next to each other and i believe are both emitting recordings. This doubles amount of static and is 100x harder to make out. Ill try again later with xfire.

Good luck and thank you to all for helping.
