My preorder code

I preordered from gamestop for the xbox. Now my problem is.. My xbox live account is silver, I am away at college and don't really play it much so I no longer have a gold membership for now. Will I need one to redeem my code? This is very concerning :(

I really want my canteen and weathered 10mm!

Anyone have any ideas? I should still be able to redeem my code right?

In greater detail, i don't think you will need a membership to redeem the code for your pistol and canteen and what not, i'm just assuming this is true because it's not even a game that uses live.

Nope, i don't see why he would.. it's just a code that comes with the game . :unsure2:

as long as you have access to xbox live, gold or not, you should be able to download it.

As long as you have a way to sign into Xbox Live then you will be able to download it. After all its a PREPAID download code.

I've dealt with the same question before and the account type doesn't matter to redeem codes. As long as you have a silver account and are connected to Live you can redeem it. Nothing to worry about.

I only have Live Silver and it never stopped me from buying DLC so redeeming the code should be no problem. Put it this way. If you can't redeem your code, would you ever buy any DLC from xbox live again? I know I wouldn't. They are not that stupid to put of any customers.

As I understand it, ANY account that is connected to Xbox Live (Silver, Gold) can be used to download demos, DLC (down-loadable content), videos, ect. The only thing you cannot do is play in games with other people.

Short answer: Don't worry, it'll work.

It's not already in the game though, if it was it wouldn't need to be downloaded.

You need a Silver Membership with internet access.
