Skyrim Screenshot anolysis #1

For those of you who haven't noticed: those are two different taverns.

Here's proof, in fact, there's proof all over those screenshots...
1. Left screenshot shows only 1 counter, right screenshot has 2
2. The giant deer head on the right screenshot, it isn't there on the left one.
3. There's a carpet on the wooden floor in the left screenshot, look behind the bench. It isn't there in the right screenshot.. see?
4. Given the location of the fire in the left screenshot, the woman in the right screenshot (and the player, given the location of the camera) should be dead/on fire by now...
5. Where's the wolf pelt in the left screenshot? Replaced by a carpet...

However, there are also some striking similarities. The contents of the shelves behind the counter(s) are exactly the same.. Still seems like two different taverns to me,... unless they'd refurbish every now and then XD

Sorry when i mean the one, i mean if this is true about family routines then this would make it the ultimate game as in the "one". I'll be clearer next time.

Maybe the two taverns are part of some sort of Skyrim chain - like The Hardrock Cafe :foodndrink: All the same, but in different ways.

Girl's left iris appears larger than the right. Though this could be the lighting.

Thank God at least someone noticed what I was pointing out. It was getting really old seeing people come in and say "Oh hey! Thats the exact same tavern!" Obviously many people pay no attention to detail.

As for the person who thinks its the same tavern but they switched everything around, you could be right however I think you are completely wrong. What? They cut the bar into two pieces at night time, take down all the animals on the walls, and put down new carpets? WTH kind of sense does that make?

I find it hard to believe that store owners completely change the layout of stores, like I said its possible but I just dont believe that is what we are looking at here. Mostly it just doesnt make sense. I would possible believe this were the case, but cutting the bar in half seems a little far fetched for an NPC activity.

It might be developers constantly changing things until release. Bar might have been changed like this. It is very common. Beside this, I would also like to point some things.

1. It is the same tavern. Not the exact same tavern, some objects are missing, some are different. But building is the same place.
2. In one screen, tavern lady is standing where the fire is supposed to be. When fire is active, the candles are all unlit. My conclusion from this, NPCs changed things by literally moving woods and making fire in the middle of tavern and putting all candles off one by one. The other would be copy/paste static taverns, one with unused candles and a fireplace... Not logical. My conclusion might be hard to make but we have lots of information about attention to detail. Havok behavior and Radiant AI, Skyrim will be the next step. I expect this kind of effort.

A developer walkthrough showing the day-night transformations of taverns would be nice. Or we wait till 11.11.11. ;)

PS. Address me personally please, it feels awkward to be called "that maniac who thinks NPCs decorate interiors every day from top to bottom". :P

I wasnt referring only to you, although you were included. It has taken me 10 pages to get anyone to even acknowledge that the two pictures are different.

There are too many simlularities yet absolute differences for me to understand what is really going on. While what you suggest is possible, I still find it strange that the shop keeper simply removed the animal mounts from the walls, through down a rug, and cut the bar into two sections.....

It just seems like a bit of a stretch.

Personally I think Bethesda has done the best human skin and faces next to Square Enix. Square Enix really got their humans down a long time ago and most game developers humans always have this clay look to them. Bethesda pulled off good humans. Their skin is smooth and soft. They have the slight wax sheen like real skin. They have done what few have. Everyone give a round of applause to Bethesda. Frankly it's amazing because for some reason, people can make realistic looking aliens but humans they have a problem with
