I don't know about the other, but dev_akm is currently working with the FCOM team on updating the FCOM site.

SirFrederik was working on a rebuild of OblivionXP, but was having trouble finding time to work on it.

I think it's time to quash rumours that dev_akm has left the community.
There's no mystery involved.

1. Just before his "disappearance" he became a dotting daddy.
2. To avoid burn out he's decided to take a hiatus from the scene. He's been active with Oblivion since the day of release and involved in one of the first mod releases.
3. This LOA has allowed him to continue development work on the next OOO and FCOM versions without being side tracked by other modding issues.
4. Through our private forum the FCOM Team are in touch and being been kept aware of developments.
5. Work commitments.
6. Sometimes real life gets in the way of our hobbies.

Thanks Shikishima for the info (and 'grats to Dev_akm for the new addition to the family. :) ) - it's true, sometimes people just... move on, or have other things going on that take precedence over modding a game.

and this is good advice:

If you need to contact them, you can always do so through the messaging system on this board.
