Skyrims Hierarchy?

Post » Thu Dec 09, 2010 8:24 am

I don't see how using a hierarchy system or another one could make any difference, besides title names, unless the interaction between NPCs has improved hugelly.

I am talking about just to make the story's world structure and setting a little more interesting, not about making the gameplay more interesting, but that would be welcome as some kind of game mechanic.

What I mean is that the player wouldn't notice things like 'every free men being equal in this' in gamplay, unless this is shown in game. Of course lore books would be different.

Okay. I'm opening this again. Here are the guidelines from here on in:

I think the OP kind of understands the concept of Nords not being "Vikings." This has been stated repeatedly, and yet a number of you seem to have this irresistible urge to read into this thread anyone saying that "Nords must be exactly like ancient Vikings, and therefore 100% historically accurate." No one's said that anywhere in this thread. So stop arguing against a point no one has made yet, okay? Very annoying to try and clean up a thread that go so dirty, so quickly, for so little reason. I won't be doing it again.

That said - Nords are certainly inspired by Viking culture. Some discussion of this inspiration is, I would think, not only warranted - but kind of a given, considering the themes and location of this game.

So play nice, guys.

yeah, instead of Count, it can be something like earl or chieftain. Todd has stated that a NPC can take revenge if they know that you killed somebody in their family, I can see the whole Viking law system being an influence in the game.
