Modular Oblivion Enhanced ~ Lich Problem

Post » Sun Dec 12, 2010 4:08 pm

I'm having a fairly major problem with the Lich feature of MOE, the reason I'm asking here is because I could find no other references to this problem on the TESNexus page or Readme.
The problem is that when in first person mode whilst in Lich mode, everytime I cast an on target or on self spell, the neck of the Lich moves foward and blocks out the screen.
This issues started after I had installed, and subsequently unistalled the Deadly Reflex mod (unistalled as I didn't like what it did to the game), as far as I know I unistalled it correctly and as per the unistallation instructions.

My only guess would be that:
1) Some thing has changed where the 1st person camera is located in relation to the 1st person body model, making it too far back, so that the neck part of the first person model obsucres the screen during certain animations (like casting spells).
2) Something was left behind from Deadly Reflex that very subtely changed the way the 1st person model is animated for these animations, making the neck part move slightly further foward.

What I'm looking for is any way to decicively reset these animations or any other way to remedy the problem WITHOUT re-installing the game, or loosing the animations included in other mods.
Or, I guess, a way to alter the 1st person model of the lich so that it no longer has a neck (since it is unneccesary in the 1st person model anyway). However I'm clueless about Model editing, so preferably I wouldnt have to resort to this.

Any help massivley appreciated :)

SOLVED. :D

I'll post up how just in case anyone else is having the same problems.

I did a bit of digging into the Installation instructions for D' Reflex to see if anything was missed out in the uninstallation section, and remebered that you're are told to ajust "fNearDistace", which controlls how far from the screen in-game things have to be to be rendered, to zero, from its default of 10.
I guessed that maybe the Lich Neck had always been coming in front of the screen, but just not far enough to be rendered, so I set the fNearDistace back to 10, and all's sorted again. :)
