PyFFI-ing the PyFFI-ed: safe?

Post » Sun Dec 26, 2010 5:04 pm

I've been going through PyFFI-ing my mod collection & have been wondering if running meshes through PyFFI again if they have already been PyFFI-ed is safe to do. Not that I am intentionally doing so, but there are some mods that I suspect have been optimized already, but don't explicitly state so in their documentation.

So is it safe, or will this have the potential for screwing up the meshes?

Also, if anyone knows of a current list of mods that have already been PyFFI-ed, if you would please provide a link, I would appreciate it.

So is it safe

I think I stated that already a few days ago, don't know if it was to you or somebody else. Anyway yes it is, as long as you (re-)pyffi them with the latest version of PyFFI. Version 2.1.7 is the latest right now.

Safe. Use the last non-for-test version. It takes time, but not your but PC. So just do it.
edit: I'm too slow, useless post

Even though 2.1.7 is marked as beta, it's safe, so there's no reason not to use it.2.1.6 and 2.1.5 both have instances where some things won't get optimized at all because of errors in the process. 2.1.7 has thus far shown itself to fix all of those instances.

Where is 2.1.7? I didn't see it in the usual SourceForge spot. This means I can be lazier. Yay! ^___^
