What's New?:
v3.2.0:
  • COBL support removed.
    • As a result, Oblivion.esm is no longer required.
    • This allows TQP to be used in Total Conversions such as Nehrim.

  • OBSE v17+ now required.
    • Scripts were simplified by using newer OBSE functions.

  • Spell Purchases are no longer affected by the Default Action.
    • They can still be auto-confirmed, you just have to hold one of the hotkeys down.

  • Added support for the Quantity Prompt that appears when picking up certain items.
    • It uses the same hotkeys as the Container/Barter screens.
    • It is not affected by the Default Action for technical reasons.
      • Either hold the hotkey down when picking the item up, or tap the hotkey when the prompt appears.

  • Added INI support.
    • It is read from when:
      • TQP is first installed
      • '<< Reset to Default Settings >>' is selected in the menu.

    • It may be placed in one of three locations:
      • Data\TQP.ini
      • Data\INI\TQP.ini
      • Data\Scripts\TQP.ini

Introduction:
With this mod, you can auto-confirm the quantity prompt ("How many?") and confirmation prompt that you get when an item or spell is transacted (moving/buying/selling/dropping). Items may be transacted one at a time with by holding down either ctrl key, or an entire stack at a time by holding down either shift key. These hotkeys may be customized ingame.

Details:
When in a Container or Barter menu:
Hold either ctrl key when clicking on an item stack to auto-confirm ONE item.
Hold either shift key when clicking on an item stack to auto-confirm ALL items.

When in a Spell Purchase menu (uses the same hotkeys as the Container or Barter menu):
Hold either ctrl key when clicking on an item stack to auto-confirm ONE item.
Hold either shift key when clicking on an item stack to auto-confirm ALL items.

When in the Inventory menu (when either shift key is also pressed):
Hold either ctrl key when clicking on an item stack to auto-confirm ONE item.
Hold either alt key when clicking on an item stack to auto-confirm ALL items.

When in any of the above menus, press the left ctrl key in combination with the 'T' key to
bring up TQP's configuration menu.
    The menu allows you to:
  • Allow auto-confirmation when giving away 0 value items to a merchant.
  • Change the Default Action to: Prompt, Single, or Stack
  • Customize all of the keys
  • Reset everything back to the default settings
One neat trick is to set one shift key to drop items by the stack, and leave the other shift key alone.

Other features:
  • Custom Default Actions:
You may set the Default Action that occurs whenever you select an item without any hotkeys pressed. It can be set to Prompt (the normal behavior), Single, and Stack.
For example, if you set the Default Action to Stack:
    • Clicking without any hotkeys pressed will auto-confirm the entire stack.
    • Clicking while holding one of the Stack hotkeys will cause the Prompts to appear. You may manually confirm the prompts, or press the Single or Stack hotkeys to auto-confirm the requisite amount.
    • Clicking while holding one of the Single hotkeys will auto-confirm one item from the stack.

  • You may press the hotkeys even after the quantity/confirmation screens have appeared.
  • As a safety measure, auto-confirmation is disabled by default when "Giving away" items to a merchant. This may be enabled in the configuration menu.
  • Attempts have been made to make this work on international versions of Oblivion. The menu's won't be translated, but the mod 'should' work on non-English copies. This is completely untested, as I don't have a non-English version ;)

Installation:
It needs http://obse.silverlock.org/ or greater to work.
    Three choices:
  • OMOD: Load the archive in OBMM. It's in the omod-ready format.
  • BAIN: Load the archive in Wrye Bash. It's in a BAIN-ready format.
  • Manual: Just extract the .esp to your data directory and check it in the data files.
The load order doesn't particularly matter. The only thing that might conflict is a game setting (iInventoryAskQuantityAt), and that is also set via script to ensure that it stays at the correct value (2).

Permissions:
I would appreciate if you contact me, but ultimately you may do whatever you want with this mod as long as you properly credit any and all authors.

This applies to any mod primarily authored by Waruddar.

I also thank you for the update! This is a totally essential mod and it's great to see it working in Nehrim with no hassle.

Thanks for the update. :foodndrink:

TQP was the first OBSE mod I ever installed, and the third mod overall (after BTmod and Frans), and is among the few mods I can really not play without. :)

Seconded. TQP is one of the very first mods I install each reinstall - it's one of the must-haves for me. Just updating to this w/o a clean save seems to work just fine.

Yeah, it shouldn't need a clean save. I fiddled around with the scripts in TES4Edit to make sure the variables would update properly. Good to know it's working as intended B)

Has anyone actually used it in Nehrim yet? In theory it should work fine, but I didn't actually test it myself.

I appreciate you letting me know, Zornac :D

With that, this release can be considered feature complete. I don't plan on touching TQP again except for bug fixes.

Is anyone able to use this with OBSE 19? I can't get the menu to work and it wont show up in the cobl menu. Also the anything I set in the ini doesn't do anything. Despite this it seems to be working with default settings.

First point in the OP description:
"COBL support removed."
Reason: Allows for use in Total Conversions like Nehrim by removing dependency on Oblivion.esm
This is why you won't find it in the COBL menu, which I agree was quite a nice and useful feature.

I use it just fine with OBSE 19 Beta 4. But use the default settings, so have not tried to change the .ini file at all.

I've had no issues getting this working with any version of OBSE - from 18 final to 19 beta 4.2. I don't run COBL...

I'm not having problems using 19beta4 either. It looks like you may not have installed it correctly.

As Vargr noted, COBL support was removed. To access the config menu, press the left control + T keys while in a container, barter, spell purchase, or inventory menu.

The ini is only automatically applied when TQP is first installed (or a new game is started). If you want it to be applied to an existing game, you can manually apply it by selecting '<< Reset to Default Settings >>' in the config menu. This is explained in both the readme and in the ini itself in the first comment section. The reasoning for this is that the ini isn't meant to affect the current settings, but rather is used to provide the default settings. This allows you to quickly setup TQP for multiple characters while still allowing different characters to have custom settings (i.e. multiple people share a single computer and prefer different settings for their character(s)).

hi. i've really enjoyed tqp since i started using mods with oblivion, but i've recently run into a problem. tqp doesn't seem to be able to determine that i'm running obse. i've tried obse 18 and 19b, using a steam installation of oblivion, but tqp repeatedly notifies me that obse isn't installed. thanks for your time!

Try copying the obse_loader.exe file into the Oblivion folder. Doing so will not cause any harm.

Edit: Are you seeing the OBSE version number message in the console when you load a save?

the console doesn't show anything, but obse.log is updated upon every execution. the obse loader is already there, as i was using the construction set to try and fix tqp

Try opening the console, and entering the command "GetOBSEVersion".

If nothing happens, OBSE is running. If it complains about an unknown function, OBSE isn't running.

Did you enable the Steam in-game community thing? That has to be enabled for OBSE to load.

Just a quick thanks again for this mod. This is another one of those things that should have been in the game by default. I consider this mod a necessity, and won't play the game without it. :trophy:

andalaybay's comment had my solution, after ticking the steam community in-game option, loading a game resulted in an obse initialized text. haha, now i guess there's no more wondering for me why that screenshot looked so bad, streamline must not have been active.
thanks for the help with this, Tomlong75210, Waruddar, and andalaybay; also, thanks for the excellent addition to oblivion's mod collection, Waruddar & kea!

on a side note, what do you think about adding to tqp allowing hotkey pressing to select menu items for the equivalent of item click and quantity choice, as opposed to holding keys while clicking?

Already allows that. Just press the single or stack modifier while the prompt is open.
