Trigger problem in Nehrim - May be Oblivion inherent

Post » Mon Jan 03, 2011 9:26 am

Is there a console command to reset triggers ( if triggers is the right word )? I'm suspicious that it began to happen in Nehrim's Zerobilan dungeon - a sliding slab door failed to move when the switch button was pushed. Then later in Giliad Crypt, a pull-twist switch did not reveal the way into the next area and I had to toggle clip mode to be certain.

Why are people so quick to blame their own failure to seek out solutions to problems on Nehrim? Here's a hint - if it's not working, you probably missed something. Unlike Oblivion, Nehrim is not a buggy mess. And Oblivion isn't exactly a buggy mess, either. Besides, if it really is a bug, wouldn't it be better to report it in the actual Nehrim topic? You know, the one delegated to discussion of the mod?
As to resetting "triggers" - I'm quite sure there isn't one. If you want, you can just cheat and "open" every obstacle using the console. It'll leave you feeling cold and empty inside, but at least it's easier than looking around a room twenty times because there might be a second switch.

Not so fast. There is only one secret door for each switch. In Giliad Crypt I reset the cell with the console command ResetInterior GiliadGruft. The switch moved the door successfully after that, but after activating the switch twice. After reloading it opened upon using the switch once. As for ZerobilonPart01, the it is a fact that the switches open the secret doors out of order so that the correct path is not opened properly and the player must use toggle clip mode.

Oblivion had a similar problem in the ayleid dungeon Miscarcand as in GiliadGruft. The door would not open. The Nehrim topic is closed due to post limit.

Nehrim has multitudes of bugs far far far more then Oblivion ever had -> I have run into bottles that did not get enabled when they were suppose to, dungeons that once you got to the second level you could not go back to the first because it crashed the game 100% of the time I had to transport myself out and had to look in the CS and use the console to forward the quest so it would stop crashing -> I found serveral quests that the instant I did them every save game I created after were all corrupt but if I skipped it the whole game went on happily -> at least until I found another bug that is -> Nehrim is the most bug ridden mod I have ever touched by far, and I have yet to finish the main quest because everytime I get to the Library Of Treomar the game randomly crashes from putting the stones on their pedestals or if I can actually get the game to not crash and not create a corrupt savegame the second I talk to the guy in the center its gameover either the game crashed instantly or I kill him and every savegame after that point is corrupt.

and it is a problem with Nehrim causing the corrupt saves because in all my time with Oblivion I have had only one corrupt save and that was caused by MMM -> 4 years 1 corrupt save from a mod VS Nehrim where I get corrupt saves constantly from nothing but doing quests and quest stages, that mod is bugged to hell period !

Here is an idea.

Someone start the Unofficial Nehrim Patch.

Simple.

Ignoring all the spam...

You might try posting your question in the http://sureai.de/forum/viewforum.php?f=81 forums. I don't think the Nehrim dev team visits the Beth forums anymore. You could try http://cs.elderscrolls.com/constwiki/index.php/ResetInterior, but I'm not sure it would fix your problem.
