Removal of the compass

one thing that really bugged me in oblivion was always being told where to go, it was much to easy

It's better than the frustration of having no idea where your going or what your doing. I also would like to know when I'm going North.

There is already a thread about this. Definitely Oblivion's marker system was much too accommodating. At the same time, we don't want to revert back to the "go northwest until you find a cave past a rock" mentality of Morrowind. The overall consensus was we can have a location marker, but it only gives the general area, instead of the exact location.
