The problem I am having is with Shezrie's Pell's Gate...The Gates to town are doubling, as are the signs on buildings, as are the guards and outdoor shop workers.

You blow me away sometimes - you've been around forever, but often seem lost at the simpler stuff. Like why isn't this in the Shezrie town thread?

Open the console and in turn click on each set of doors - do they have different formIDs? Then look those up in TES4edit.

Likely this is the case because you have loaded both: ShezriesTownsMaster.esp and ShezriesTowns1pt1.esp

The second one was an update she made and after getting feedback it would not work with existing patches changed the name back to ShezriesTownsMaster.esp.

It might also truly benefit you to invest some time on learning BAIN as that would have been another way to spot the problem.
