Farming or harvesting?

So I was wondering. They have woodcutting, mining, cooking etc which are all quite specific, but farming is a more general term. You got ploughing, seeding, irrigation, waiting and harvesting. (even that's quite a basic list). So I'm curious as to whether we do all that or we just do the harvesting part. If we do the whole shebang i reckon it would be cool that they put all that detail in. I know many might say it could be a waste of effort and development time, but still.

Thing is there's already harvesting of herbs and other ingredients, so I take it because they used this term 'farming' it must include these other areas. But then they could be lying.

I'm thinking its just planting stuff on specific grounds (special terrain) and then after a few days you harvest them :P

One of the magazine articles compared a dragon fight behavior with "a tractor ploughing a field". I assume the dragons are doing the dirty work and we're just harvesting lol

A couple of my MW characters planted gardens, using the Seeds of Morrowind mod. One raised a crop of Corkbulb behind the house, which was very useful for making potions, cooking, and for use in fletching an occasional set of Corkbulb Arrows using Morrowind Crafting. Another had a field of Wickwheat for baking bread, using Necessities of Morrowind. Several had small alchemy gardens going, and at least one placed a few decorative plants along the front of his reclaimed Dunmer Fortress, to liven up an otherwise depressing scene in a bleak wasteland.

Having anywhere near the same capability built into Skyrim would be a pleasant surprise.

Probably this. I don't expect it to be too in depth.
