Dwemer Animunculi Resource

Post » Wed Feb 02, 2011 4:01 am

I'm not in the mood for a big writeup so im just going ot copy paste.

EDIT: If a mod wanders onto this topic, I forgot to put a [Relz] tag on the title.

Authors:
Da Mage
InsanitySorrow (Normal Maps)

Details:
This resource contains two compltely custom creatures that have been re-created from scratch based on the designs in morrowind. I'm thinknig that people working on Morrowind recreation mods, or any mods that deal with Dwemer would make good use of these.

I have the big Steam Centurion in the works, but dont wait for it, could be a while. And yes the folder it is in this upload, but its empty.

As this is a Modder's Resource just you have to import it into the CS like any other item to use it. The meshes can be placed whereever you want, but if you want to put the textures into another folder you'll have to redirect them in the nif files. And Im not going ot teach people how to import creatures in, you need to attack the skeleton files and then pick what mesh it uses....both of these creature only have a sinlge mesh for thier body.

Wow that's awesome :D

Love the way it rolls to one side when you give it a good whack :)

Out of interest did you create the skeleton yourself, or rig it to something else??

Absolutely outstanding. Do you anticipate the steam centurions being as difficult to implement as the centurion spheres? I'm blown away watching it roll around on that ball. The animations look very fluid and real. To me it seems like the only thing ithe creatures seem to be lacking to be 100% convincing is sounds, which will be a breeze to add in.

Yes, sounds are on the to-do list.
