The topic says third person players unite, but then the poll points out how out-numbered we are. Not a very good motivation. :verymad:
Anyway, I prefer third person for just about everything, and I think it has to do with my roleplaying style. I roleplay from a "third-person subjective" view. I know my character and everything my character is thinking and why he or she is doing whatever he or she is doing, but I am not my character. I've tried roleplaying in first person and I just can't. It's boring for me if I can't watch my character doing things because I am not trying to be my character, I'm just vicariously experiencing my characters actions and thoughts. I only use first-person to pick up something specific, ensure I speak to someone instead of stealing an object in plain sight, or for using marksman. That's about it.
