[WIP] Jara's vampire goblins!

Introduction:

Some of you might remember that a while ago, I released a http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=31735 containing vampified goblins. It wasn't anything amazing, but it did what I wanted it to: it introduced a new class of goblin, that matched the appearance of the human vampires: pasty-faced, with red or glassy white eyes, depending on your lore preferences (red being Oblivion style, and white being Morrowind style).

I wanted these vampire goblins to not be out of place in either a vampire, goblin or undead dungeon, so I decided to make a dungeon that encompassed all three at once. What I've ended up with, is a simple, yet engaging questline, that has a grand total of three endings, (and, for that matter, three beginnings) several unique magic items, some interesting puzzles, one sidequest (that ties into the mod's main questline), plenty of hidden secrets, an expanded-upon goblin culture, and several tiers of new monsters to fight.

I'm in the process of bugfixing, so I imagine I'll be finished sooner or later. So, I hope you all have as much fun playing it as I did making it!

Story:

Bag-Of-Offal and Stands-On-Land are a pair of Argonian brothers from the city of Gideon. Offal is an enchanter, and Stands is a retired Arena fighter. Everything was going swimmingly for the pair, until an Altmer vampire named Lorundil stole Offal's amulet. The amulet is supposedly nothing special in of itself, and mostly carries a lot of sentimental value- it was the first item Offal successfully enchanted. So, naturally, the player meets the brothers in the Inn of Ill Omen, and is asked to track down Lorundil, and get the amulet back, by any means necessary.

But of course, it's not that simple. Upon entering the nearby Westenra Caverns, the player is assaulted by goblin zombie or two. And, a little further in, a pack of goblin vampires! What in the world is going on?

By entering the second level of the dungeon, the player can (if he/she looks hard enough) find Lorundil's lair, which should shed some light on matters. It's clear there's been a struggle, and Lorundil is nowhere to be seen, though it's clear he didn't go down without a fight- a dead goblin is on the ground nearby.

Heading a little further into the cave, the player can find the entrance to a goblin village. There's skulls (and rotten heads) on sticks as a warning, as well as plenty of cave paintings, which give the player some insight into the beliefs of this particular tribe. And, in the middle of it all, there's a roaring bonfire, and a dead Altmer vampire, being eaten by a pack of durzogs.

By piecing together the clues, you get a pretty good idea of what's happened: the goblins, who worship Molag Bal and saw Lorundil as an earthly manifestation of their god, killed and ate the elf, in order to free the Daedric Prince from his mortal bonds. Unfortunately, they didn't count on two things:

1. Eating uncooked vampire meat is a sure-fire way to contract Poryphic Hemophilia, and...
2. Offal's amulet seems to afford its owner some degree of control over the undead. That sure explains all the zombies.

But alas, Offal's amulet isn't actually found on Lorundil. It must be further in...

So... yeah. Start waiting with bated breath! It'll be out before Skyrim, at least. :P

Sounds like a nice, well-developed quest. I especially liked the cave paintings and shaman head-dress.

Glad you like it. Just watch out for the twist at the end (well, one of the ends)! M. Night Shyamalan would be proud. :D

And that headdress was fun to make. It's pretty basic, but it does the trick, IMO.
