You are over-encumbered.

encumbrance isn't the only issue i mean take the daderic long sword in game it weighs 55 pound and in real life a long sword only weighs 2 pounds seriously a war hammer weighs about 15 pound in real life and i game i weighs 60 to 70 pounds wtf leather armor in real life weighs maybe 5 pounds and that is only if its reinforced with wax and enamel i mean come on that 500 pound max caring capacity is unneeded all we need is 150 max 200 if the weights are represented realistically

Encumbrance has nothing to do with real world weights...at all. It's more like a combination of weight and size, reduced down to a single variable they call "encumbrance".

the question is not wether we can still move, as already stated in this thread in FO3 you could still walk, i can promise you they wont give us the horror of over encumbered in oblivion ever again.

However.. wouldn't it be nice that when you reach certain weight then you can't stand carrying all of that therefore making you need to crawl and being unable to fight? then eventually you'llo get so heavy crawling just isnt enough so you'll end up in prone, then you'll just stop being able to move. (this would be seriously silly, but the unable to stand rather than nailing you to one spot sounds about right right?)

Just had an idea. Add two spells for convenience purposes, similar to mark and recall. (without the recalling)

Mark storage - Marks a container for teleporting items into.

Teleport item - When cast, items selected in the inventory teleport to the container. Can be used anywhere.

Add some kind of limit so that you couldn't use it indefinitely, maybe a day power? (not a birthsign). Or maybe make it a potion or scroll of some sort.

Either way, I like how Torchlight handles loot. I don't want to wade through 4-6 loading screens every 30 minutes for transporting loot.

Selling it is one thing, but if you're just going to store it away like me.. some extra convenience never hurts.

Or a Bag of Holding. I got a mod for Oblivion with one, it's nice.
Or how about being able to summon Undead Minions that can carry crap for you? Summon an Undead Giant and have him haul a bunch of crap around for you.

I like being able to loot stuff. If I can't go into a dungeon, kill stuff, and walk out with a pile o' loot......

Especially in this game series, where everyone drops all the gear they're using, along with other random crap, limiting what you could carry to "one suit of armor, a couple weapons, and what you can fit in a small backpack" would be incredibly limiting.

Well, bring a shopping cart.

Im Sick of being Over Encumbered, you should walk and struggle of carrying to much weight, not froze to the spot because you are heavy.

I also want to be able to hide my stuff somewhere without the Game Deleting it, just because i took a nap.

When i start the Game, im gonna look through the UESP Site about Feather stuff and do a cross country picking up Ingredients.

Take the rough with the smooth. If your sick of being over encumbered, don't carry too much. :)
I like it the way it is,though fallouts slow was ok too. But eventually even if walking slow you should come to a stop. Things get heavier the longer you carry them,it makes sense.
Hell ,it's not as if we don't have things to counter this either. In my opinion,if you are over encumbered, thats your own fault. It should stay, and no fast travlling either, while encumbered.
