I never said they were comic relief, I said thats how they act. That is the way they are, the way they've always been.
I'm not trying to put words in your mouth. I am confused, though. So, you're just saying they're hyper. Got it. This quote, though, made me think you were saying the way they are and the way they've always been is comic relief (rather than hyper).
You also said that they were never a joke to you, followed by that's how they are (without referring to hyperactive, I thought you meant a joke). Misunderstandings are tiring. Sorry.
