Can we play after MQ?

Post » Mon Mar 07, 2011 10:13 am

Now, i think this has been posted before but i am not sure. Atleast i am not flowing in money since i don't have a job and my mom won't buy stuff for me. I'm gonna lose enough money buying the game, so if i need to buy DLC to continue this time.... :flamethrower: I Don't know if this is innapropriate seeing as it was that way in Fallout and has not been that in any TES games (i think?) But if anyone knows please let me know. Off topic:By the way this is my first post cause i didn't wanna post anything cause im afraid to be innapropriate and my topic gets locked and i get a warning :S Whatever...

Welcome to the forums :) i'd give you a fishy stick if I had one
Anyways, I'm pretty sure it'll be open-ended again, that's the way TES games should be

The tradition has always been that you'll be able to play after the MQ ends. There's no reason to think otherwise about Skyrim, but nobody has a conclusive answer on the matter so the question is pretty much pointless at this point. But I'm 99,9% sure that you'll be able to play after the MQ, mostly because of the type of game this is. Imagine that you played through the MQ as your first priority - now suddenly you can't do 80% of the game content because you did it in the wrong order?...

Hiiiighly unlikely.

Since it's your first post, I guess a http://images.uesp.net//c/c4/Fishystick.jpg might be in order.

Also, I don't have an answer to you question, but if I had to guess, I'd say we can play after the main quest. The earlier TES games lets you do that, I'm pretty sure Skyrim won't be an exception.

If we can't, I'll eat my hat. And mod it [the game]. Not necessarily in that order.

I recall Bethesda saying they won't make that mistake again.

Odds are you'll get to play after the main quest. Morrowind and Oblivion both let you, however Daggerfall did have one ending where you died due to your actions. So the real question is if some of the choices lead to character death. Personally I'd like at least one. Just a way for a Boone like character to go down in flames and glory.
