did something really dumb...

so...

i was running out of HD space. i thought... hmmm... i'm using BAIN for most things now, i don't need all these old .omod files. they're just compressed packages anyway, all the data in them is now safely in my "data" folder.

so... i deleted the .omod files.

which was fine. until i just opened OBMM to look inside a .bsa.... apparently it deleted all the info out of my data folder.

crap.

Backup your BAIN packages and saves and reinstall the game.

Maybe try "Anneal all" in BAIN?

The data may possibly still be in your Recycle Bin. It's worth looking there to see if you can hit 'Restore' on anything in there you might have deleted.

Hah! Did the same thing when building a new game. When you delete the omod files from the obmm subfolder it is the same as uninstalling them when you start OBMM after deleteing these. You can try to find these deleted omods in the recycle bin as mentioned above or restore from another location, or create again. But you wikll have to re-install in OBMM again I believe.

I learned the hard way too!

Yeah... wish that hadn't happened. I had such a nice crash-free conflict free load order going.... I was just trying to free up some space.

Luckily... I've got my mTes4 manager backup...but only with Basic FCOM, not all my extras. Oh well. A few hours restoring... hope my savegame still works.

Wish there was something in OBMM to prevent it from doing that... oh well. Maybe someone will read this and learn not to make the same mistake.... bummer.
