Revisiting Oblicivion, Need mod advice

I am looking to try to finally complete Oblivion, somthign I shamefully nev er did when it came out. I am lookkinf for some mods to help me get past a couple things that really turned me off about vanilla oblivion.

1. the leveling system. I really had a hard time ejoying the way it woked, thetraining somne skills took forwever, and they tended to be ones I would want to use, other ones were super easy, and I teneded to start struggling because I started to become weaker and weaker compared to the creatures I began to encounter.

2 The world always autoadjusting to the level I am. I hated that. HAAAATED it.

I am hoping to find a mod or 2 that will fix those two issues, do they exist? Is there any you would recomend?

Also, if ther ei s aliek a to 10 must have list I would love to hear about them. I am not looking to pile on a crapton of mods, but I think adjusting the 2 above problems would help me get back into and finally complete the game.

1. is easily resolved: Realistic Levelling or nGCD, possibly in combination with Progress. Or Oblivion XP where you collect expericence points for doing stuff. I personally use Realistic Levelling. It's easy to setup and keeps me going along well. It has an .ini file where you can fiddle with all sorts of settings but I never bother to use it.

Regarding 2., Oscuro's Oblivion Overhaul (aka OOO) would be the total "anti-autoadjust" mod for you, or overhaul rather. It definitely plays a lot more difficult and differently than vanilla but it's a classic mod.

There may be others that do away with auto-adjust-to-level but I don't know any smaller scale mods which do (just) that.
