Your Oblivion Character referenced in Skyrim + Lychans?

Post » Wed Mar 09, 2011 10:03 am

For Xbox players based on the Achievements in Oblivion the game would make references to your character talking about how he or she did something. For example, Long ago in the land of Cyrodil during the time Oblivion opened a single man closed an Oblivion gate saving what was left of a city after a deadra attack leaving the very foundation crippled. An for PC users it should be able to access you save files and see what factions your leading etc. Also I be surprised if you weren't referenced in books at all that be disappointing. Now for the last part Lychans, I loved Vamper ism i never saw it as a disease i saw it as a gift so i to see myself as half a vampire and a werewolf. so thats all i got to say please leave a comment calling me nuts or elaborate on it thank you for your time.

While it would be neat if they made some sort of reference to your character, I don't really see it being implemented nor is it that big of a deal. And for lychans and vampirism, are you just saying you like them and want them in Skyrim or are you asking if its been confirmed that they're in?

I'm absolutely positive that the Oblivion Crisis will be referenced. It's even on the Wall thing for Skyrim. I don't know what your character will be referred to as for later generations, seeing as the "Champion of Cyrodiil" is vague and there have been others. History will probably have forgotten your name, but they'll remember your acts. Look for it in books.

Yeah, there was a poll around here somewhere a while back about what should happen if you catch Porphyric Hemophilia and Lycanthropy at the same time. I think the winning options were all variants on "whichever disease incubates first takes over and kills off the other virus," ranging up to "having either disease complete incubation while infected with both = instant painful death." I'd say it's extremely likely that they'll somehow limit you to one or the other at any given time.

I'm not sure, but couldn't you become some sort of half-breed in Morrowind? Assuming you had the Bloodmoon expansion. As for the reference of your Oblivion character, it will probably end up in various books scattered throughout Skyrim. Although it probably won't mention your name.

It's Lycans. And in ES, the word for them is Lycanthropes. And no, there should be no hybrid of vampire and werewolf. In oblivion we had a half orc, half vampire. But that is acceptable.

I find it ironic how someone with the username "Werewolf&Vampire" is against Werepyres(I believe thats what they are called). But I have to agree, a werepyre would just be stupid,.

I definitely want to see some reference...however not by your own personal character's name. Just as 'Hero of Cyrodiil'.

As for Lycans (NOT Lychans - don't mean to be picky but it bugs me), I really hope they are in and vampires too

In oblivion we had a half orc, half vampire.

Isn't that just an orc who is a vampire?

I mean we also had half Imperial, half vampires, and half Breton half vampires. But they're just vampires of that race, not some sort of hybrid.

He's talking about the Grey Prince.

I think instead of using your achievements, since those could be acquired on multiple playthroughs, if you picked a save file for it to reference for little tidbits, like referencing some of the quests you did, and possible outcomes.

He's talking about the Grey Prince.

Oh, true. But he didn't have any vampiric traits, though, so there's no real evidence that being a vampire/werewolf would make you anything other than an ordinary person.
