Game keeps crashing in Oblivion plane

It's unplayable. Every time I enter the Kvatch Oblivion gate I make a few steps, then the game tries to load a new area (the "loading area" message appears) and I get a CTD. This 9 times out of 10. I have the 4gb patch, OSR, ZStreamline, weOCPS, Pluggy 128 (but it seems disabling all of them nothing changes), meshes "pyffied" (only OB's at the moment). Oblivion planes are in no way altered by mods. Can it be OOO/MMM fault?

Nothing in your load order jumps out at me and I used 90% of the mods you do. Did you install a texture replacement that had Oblivion textures? Could be a corrupt file in that. Worth a try.

Also,try without the MMM no reavers in gates as that has something to do with Oblivion realm. Worth a try also.

I'm not using texture replacers (I don't see the need, Oblivion has already good graphics), but maybe some meshes have been corrupted while pyffing them (just guessing). I will try to pyffi them again and see if that fixes the problem.

Might be a bad spawn. You could try waiting for a respawn (i.e. 4 days if on default) before entering the gate.

Didn't work :(

But definitely there's something that make the game crash in that area, I must raise the chance that CTD happens there to 100% now... So other than bad spawning, what are the common culprits that cause this neverending CTDs? Could be a error in a mesh caused by Pyffi? The only mod that should affect OBlivion planes are MMM and OOO, I will try to disable them, I don't know what else to do.

Switch to the normal meshes first and see how that works. Use the original oblivion - meshes.bsa.

It's not a common issue with MMM. And your load order looks OK. Don't think there's anything to clean in the esp. Make sure the OOO/MMM resources are there/loading, i.e. that the MMM.bsa is correctly renamed and that you have OOO 1.33 Complete + 1.34 Beta 5 installed.

I've had a couple of repeatable CTDs in Oblivion in my current FCOM game. Those have been "fixed" by waiting for a respawn, which should indicate bad spawns.

I bet you have MMM installed.

Anyway, simply unbelieveable! The trick worked! Tried 3 times in a row and no CTDs at all. From now on, nothing will surprise me any more, that's for sure. Thanks for the help :D

When that happens I fix that by entering an interior and re-exiting.
