Lowering myself to begging.

Hi

For about 3 years I've wanted to see if anyone could make a set of armor based on Marvel's Doctor Doom. If I could do it myself I would've long ago but I don't know the first thing about modding 3d armors. I'm hoping somebody out there knows how to do something like this and either helps me to do it or can do it themselves. I've seen some of the amazing looking armor that people have made already and if that stuff is possible than surely someone could create a set of armor for Doctor Doom. All he really needs is a helmet/mask and the rest could just be steel legs and arms with a green tunic and a cape from one of those mods whcih already exist.

I love Doom and he fits in so well with the Elder Scrolls!

Could someone help me out? Maybe you could make it or even point me to someone that might be able to themselves.

Thanks

In the three years you've been wanting you could've just learned how to do it yourself.

Yes. Thanks for the help but I'm hoping that someone with some skill could do it rather than a "noob" like myself.

You can just wear this set of items to get a look kind of close:

any green shirt
green cloak from a cape mod
steel gloves, greaves, and booots.
(optional) a steel mask from a mod (search for mask mods)

Good luck finding a modder to make your request though!

He means in those 3 years, you could have become a pro modeler and made it yourself. In the time you were waiting, you could have done something about it.

Three years is a very long time waiting.. could've learned how to do it yourself in year 1. You'd be making 'pro' models by now i'd imagine three years on.

I understand that I could learn how to do anything in three years but if you don't have the technology or the software it would be very difficult and one might ask for help.

Thank you, I really appreciate that, I'm looking into blender. It's a step in the right direction, the problem is it's going to take me a while to figure out how to use one of these 3d graphics programs and I'm a busy guy.

I'm just hoping that someone who knows what they're doing see's this and makes one before I spend another year trying to figure out how to make it myself.

Everyone's busy; no one gets paid to make mods after all, nor am I aware of anyone marrying a fellow mod-maker (though I suppose it might have happened). The vast majority of people who make mods are something like three quarters self-taught and one quarter taught by the assistance they get from fellow mod makers. Some have had some kind of training in programming or texturing from real life, but most people simply learned the stuff they needed to learn to make the things they wanted to make. If you want something badly enough, people kinda expect you to do just what they did and learn to do it yourself. It's slow, difficult and frustrating, but everyone knows that.

Here is a good place to start. the TES Alliance Modeling class: http://tesalliance.org/forums/index.php?/forum/19-modeling/
Good site and good people dedicated to helping anyone who wants too learn to mod. I'm a product of TESA myself. :D I wanted a house in a particular spot and finally stopped moaning that no one had built there and learned to do it myself. We have some excellent modelers on TESA who are always willing to share their knowledge and bring up the next crop of Modders. If you want this badly enough, you'll be willing to take the steps to learn. There's no deadline. You'll learn at your own pace and eventually know enough to make what you want. If, in the meantime, someone does come along and make your armor for you it's still a win-win. You'll have learned a new skill and will be able to make the next thing you want yourself without having to beg the aide of others and wait three years for it to happen.
