Problem installing mod (OOO) with OBMM

Post » Wed Mar 09, 2011 3:34 am

This is the first time I use OBMM. I have downloaded a mod file called "OOO_133_complete.7z", it is Oscuro's Oblivion Overhaul. I use OBMM to install it by clicking "create", "add archive" and then select the ".7z" file. Then I get this message:

"WARNING, this folder contains esp files in different sub directories.
It is possible that this mod has been packed in a non-standard way, or that it contains multiple versions.
You may have to attach a script to this omod to tell to tell obmm what to do with any otional esps.
If you do not know how to script, copy the mod to a new folder and set it up as you'd like, and then use 'add folder'
Do you wish to continue?"

I click No because I don't know what I'm doing. Then I open the ".7z" file using winrar. There is a bunch of files and maps there:

Files:
  • Oblivion_Oscuro's_Overhaul.esp
  • Oscuro's_Oblivion_Overhaul.esm
  • OOO.ico
  • OOOupsave.exe

And more.

Maps:
  • meshes
  • omod conversion data
  • Oscuro's Oblivion Overhaul
  • sound
  • textures

In the Oscuro's Oblivion Overhaul map there is three more maps:
  • OOO-ADD-ONS (containing a whole bunch of esp files)
  • OOO-FULL (containing one esp file)
  • OOO-LITE (containing one esp file)

I guess the OOO-FULL is the full version and OOO-LITE is a smaller version. I want the full version.

How do I proceed with this? I want to use OBMM to install this mod because I here it will be easier to upgrade it later if I do so.

It comes with an OMOD script so you should use it when making the OMOD.

Okay, how do I use it, should I just erase the OOO-LITE part and keep the rest?

Edit: Or where is this script you are talking about?

You did not go far enough when creating an OMOD, OBMM will give you the warning about multiple esp's, then it will create a pop-up saying an installation script is available, would you like to import it? You just click on yes and let OBMM make the OMOD for you.

Ok, I'll just click my way through it. Hope it works =)

Edit: Yep it worked! Thanks =)
