Traveling between Rebel Territory and Imperial Territory

Post » Tue Mar 08, 2011 10:22 pm

I've been wondering about how easy it will be to traverse to and from "enemy territory". When you're in an Imperial City, will there be anything trying to stop you from going to a rebel city? is there going to be constant skirmishes in-between territories? Will they use the same currency? If you've aligned yourself with one side, should the other side be aware, and maybe try to kill you on sight?

if anyone knows anything, please share

I hope it's like what New Vegas did with the NCR and the Legion fighting eachother close to borders. Maybe there will be outposts guarding the roads and you'll have to sneak past them ala Far Cry 2. That or pay the toll so you may enter their territory.

I agree with Danger Dan. New Vegas did a decent job of having you choose a side, and having that choice matter. There were factions in that game that didn't get along, and it showed in the game-- they were fighting, they would hear about it if you were helping the other side, etc. I'd like something similar (only better!) in Skyrim, where your choices mattered-- if you start gaining a higher profile, you won't be allowed to just "sit on the fence" and freely pass between sides in a war and help whoever you choose without consequence. :) I can only hope we see some of this!
