Is there a list of mods made redundant by utilities?

What mods are redundant when using Wrye Bash and/or COBL, OBSE, etc?

I see that I don't need Nvidia black screen fix because its in the tweak section of WB. How about stuff like:

At Home Alchemy
Initial Glow
Annoying Messages
Denock Arrows

Is there a list somewhere of the common ones so I can avoid doubling up mods and risking stability? Or will the bashed patch take care of it so I don't need to think about it?

There's a replacement for Initial Glow? I don't remember seeing that anywhere... *runs to go check this out*

Edit: Didn't see it in the in-game COBL menu, and I don't recall seeing it in the Bashed Patch. I must be missing something.

But to add to your question, I suppose you could add in mods changing the timescale are no longer needed or using the console to set it since COBL can do it (though I don't remember if the COBL menu just had a few certain presets or if you could define your own). Of course, if you use a mod that does varying timescales (such as time passing faster outside than inside or in combat), you'd still need a mod for that.

Also, the UOP's Vampire Aging Fix is now an option in the Bash patch directly, much like the nVidia fog fix, so that frees up another .ESP slot.

I made that list as examples of small mods that I wouldn't be surprised if they were just done by WB or OBSE or unofficial patches, etc. Just curious how to know if one of the common small gameplay mods is redundant.

BOSS will often point out mods that could be replaced when you run it to adjust Load Order. The first page of the Mod threads on this Forum are also good places to look for this information.

...but in general, you'll not find such lists.

Many of my mods make other mods/tweaks redundant (or vice versa), but I'm not aware of any list of it - except in some of the case where mods are directly conflicting and this info has been added to BOSS.

I think Bash only incorporates such things when there's no detriment. All four of those mods listed have detriments if you don't like the effect, but things like black screen bug fixes, or bow crash fixes, are purely bugfixes.

If WB started to implement small mods into itself, where would it end? Many small mods can already be merged, meaning no esp slot use, and mods that can't be merged can't me merged for a *reason*. The UNIX approach to software design is a good one - do one thing, and do it well. Obviously WB does much more than one individual thing, but everything it does it about managing mods - if it starts being a distribution platform as well, then quickly we'll start to have issues.

Ah, whoops, I misread. Haven't had enough coffee.

Anyways, I remembered another one: Denock Arrows is built in to the COBL menu now, and I like how it handles it a little better than the old Denock Arrows mod I used.
