-100 Speed?

Post » Tue Mar 15, 2011 3:19 am

I am under the affects of a -100 speed enchantment, but cannot for the life of me find the source, as it does not display under spell efffects. The only mod I could name as a possible culprit would be Realistic Fatigue, though I do not remember it having such functionality. Restore speed potions do nothing. Is there any mod tool to trace the source of this speed issue?

I believe that some mods use such a penalty when they want to prevent the player from moving, e.g. for some special camera tricks or to prevent backwards movement or something. You'll need to post your load order to get more specific/useful insight.

If the penalty doesn't show up in the Active Effects list then it's probably been added by a script, and if it hasn't gone away then the script has probably glitched and forgotten to reverse it. In that case you will need to fix it yourself, either using the 'SetAVMod' console command or with one of the http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1139904-relz-stat-cleaner/page__hl__%22stat+cleaner%22 mods.

I tried the setAV command. It didn't do anything for me.I went from -64 to -57.And I set high numbers. At first using positive numbers it got worse.I then used negative numbers(-1000,-2000 etc)doing that got it to go up by increments of 5.I was able to get my speed to -7 but haven't found out how to get rid of the -104 effect.nor have I found out what caused it.will get my load order in bit.

I got something similar to that when i had Frans and Mobs installed at the same time. I simply rewrote the no Runbackwards script with a blank one and it hasn't bothered me sense.

Hmm ... I am running FCOM, perhaps our issues are related.

That's a separate thing. Both Fran's and MOBS Optional Combat settings disables backward running and if you run both the effect will be doubled. But it only affects backward running and won't be stuck on negative speed when standing still or moving forward. In short, your issue should be caused by something else.

It is possible one of the scripts is bugged.

Not likely as both are used by a gazillion players and I've never seen this reported connected to their backward running penalties that I can remember. Probably caused by something else.

What if you're dragged into a conversation or other script while walking backwards? I remember I got talked to while walking backwards before the issue became apparent.
