I want to know too! Maybe I could figure out how to use it if there was.

Only played oblivion and I started to play again after I got bored of new vegas freezing every 10 minutes. Atfer skyrim announcment i bought shivering isles for the first time and im loving it although the amber armour looks HORRIBLE!!! im hoping the top tiered equipment in skyrim actually looks good to wear.

Never played morrowind but I do love the theme tune :)

I wasn't able to select two options on the first part - I started with Oblivion and received Morrowind recently as a gift. I have both games going and the excitement about Skyrim is part of the reason. I love Fallout New Vegas too and have that game going.

It's the year of the dragon. I see a lot of excitement around the net about Skyrim and I think it's going to bring a lot of new people to the series. Word of mouth will be huge and when word of the awesomeness of the game spreads, the threads on this forum will spin to page two before they can be read. :D

Weirdly enough, I actually enjoy daggerfall more than morrowind... I just cant play morrowind for very long before getting bored of it, whereas I've been playing daggerfall on and off ever since it came out.t

Hmm. Unofficially about 10% new user base from the trailer alone so far. ( number users who plan to buy Skyrim who didn't know TES before the trailer 16/169). So if TES had 2 million players before Syrim, Bethesda should see about 200k increase in user base.. I am no statistician and don't know the exact number of the current user base, but a 10% increase may be a little low for new users.. But its still early in voting.

Started with Oblivion, tried the others and couldn' t get into them. Only thing keeping me from playing Morrowind is the lack of quest markers and my pc set up is horribly uncomfortable. Daggerfall and Arena I just hate the controls and using DosBox.

Played every main TES game at least once, own Arena, Oblivion and Morrowind. Morrowind was the first I played, and is my favorite. (ironic, considering my username)

I have to say, other than Bethesda games, I really enjoyed Ark Fatalis. It's no wonder they bought it. lol... It's not as good as most Beth games, don't get me wrong, but it was still fun to play and a worthwhile purchase.

Are there graphics mods for Daggerfall like the Morrowind-Graphics and Sound Mod?

There is an open source engine remake in progress which will let modders to achieve things like that.

I continued playing Morrowind after the announcment of Skyrim (I hadn't stopped prior to the announcement, either).

I've played every game, though I dislike Oblivion, and I prefer Morrowind to Arena and Daggerfall, simply for the modability that can perfect a game.

My TES experience stared with Daggerfall. I've played Daggerfall, Morrowind and Oblivion.

Will I replay them again? I don't know. I'm going to build a computer this summer, so I might try Oblivion for the PC again. It will be heavily modded though, as that is the only way I can play it anymore. Then again, I might not. Can't really say just yet.

I've seen the second poll countless times, it's always the same. Oblivion has always had the most players, with Morrowind following close behind with a hefty group of its own, then Daggerfall carving a smaller niche for itself, and only the smallest minority of people have ever played Arena. In terms of true popularity, who's to say. New gamers are made every day, the gamer population grows constantly, and as a result there will always be a growth in the playerbase over time. There is usually a correlation between time and video game sales. Sounds weird to consider how many people pick up sequels without playing the first one though. Mass Effect 2 sold more than Mass Effect 1, Assassin's Creed 2 sold more than Assassin's Creed 1, and so forth.

Interesting that you mention those two games. My wife and I bought ME1 on Xbox Live for 20 bucks a few months prior to ME2's release. We'd heard it was a good game, had seen ME2 trailers and decided to give 1 a shot prior to dropping the money for 2. We really enjoyed 1, so we bought two.

The same thing happened with AC2. We'd seen some trailers, heard good things, decided to pick up 1 used from Gamestop. Really liked it, though hated certain aspects, and then were thrilled when 2 improved the hell out of the game.

So, our purchase of ME1 would have registered in sales, our purchase of AC1 would not have (being used). Just an example of how the sales for a sequel can far surpass the sales of an original. If we'd decided to get ME1 at something other than an ungodly hour, we would have purchased it used as well, and again, the sale would have gone unnoticed by the publisher, though the sale of the sequel would have been added to their numbers.

I think my first experience with a TES game was when I was seven, it was Morrowind and it was on my cousin's Xbox. I remember I was walking around in Balmora and I came across a 'lion-man' who I killed and stole his house, somehow I would always get lost in the streets and be unable to differentiate between the two sides of the town. My first serious time playing was with Oblivion when I got it as a 360 launch title, then I played Morrwind (on the PC) and enjoyed it immensely. I'm now playing through Arena on a Nord warrior who I plan on taking through all four of the previous games before I reach Skyrim. :3

Oh, also, shouldn't Redguard be up there? I know it was a spin-off, but it is still an Elder Scrolls game.

Honestly, I didn't know about it. I am not claiming to have the best lore knowledge.. But after looking it up, it is an action adventure game vs RPG so perhaps it wouldn't fall in the same category... But since you mention it, I may look into playing it all the same..

I preordered this game in January along with Mass Effect 3 and The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword. I don't care if everyone says it svcks, because frankly, Bethesda=/=svcking.

I'll replay and play Oblivion and Morrowind this summer though. It's too bad I got in to Oblivion first and now have to deal with Morrowinds inferior graphics.

I have played Morrowind and Oblivion and have no intention of setting either of them down any time soon. I already know that Skyrim will be a good game(even if it doesn't have Werebeast and Levitation). The Elder Scrolls is one of the few series that consistently delivers the good, no the Great, The Legend of Zelda and Mario among them.

The other thing is that most people I know who play games regularly bought Oblivion - just in the same way that most people I know who play games regularly also bought Batman: Arkham Asylum and Bioshock. They were no more inclined to join these forums than I was to join Bioshock's forum - but that doesn't mean that they won't buy Skyrim.

Since Oblivion was such a popular game, I don't think Bethesda are going to be too worried about attracting "new" over "old" fans. That would be like Christopher Nolan worrying about whether "new" people are going to like a future Batman movie. Most people who go to the cinema regularly went to see The Dark Knight and most of those same people would happily watch the next film without thinking too much about it.

Good point. Many players new to TES who play Skyrim may not think to look at the forums. So my third control may not be that accurate and the new Skyrim players will get the game only after release when it gets good reviews. Those new players will not be obsessed with this board as we are this early :)

I've played all of the Main ES games (Arena, Daggerfall, Morrowind, and Oblivion), but I haven't played any of the other games.

I've played some Morrowind and Oblivion since december. I really want to replay Arena, but I'm having trouble getting it to work.
