Okay...I admit...I am an addict

....To perks! I will download as many perk mods for Skyrim as I can find. This, I have found, adds so much variety to games, such as FO3. Anybody else have a similar addiction? I hope it is a healthy addiction!

I never actually played any of the Fallout Games, but if I did i'd probably do the same as you. I can't wait to see what sort of the perks modders come up with.

I tend not to use Game Mechanic changing mods. However I do use mods after I have played the game once or twice.

Well, i'm addicted to skooma since Morrowind, but this his just a £€$ "healthy" £€$ addiction to skooma dealers, not really for me, so... :bonk: LOL...

on-topic: I like very much the perks in Fallout, was fun, but we will have 50 perks to choose in Skyrim, right ?... It seems a reasonable number to pick from 180 total... I don't know if I will download perk mods yet... to soon to tell I guess.

I will probably give them a try, but in the end I will probably just take my favorites from any mods and vanilla and craft my own for personal use. And you know one of the first mods out there is going to be a '2/3 perks per level' or a 'no soft cap on perks' mod. Have to wait and see. At least this time most of the perks will hopefully be useful, Unlike Fallout 3 where some where godlike powerful and the others were totally useless (Looking at you Solar Powered, Puppies, Nerd Rage, and the hacking and lockpicking ones)

I hope they are not called ''perks'' if they are in, talents perhaps? I love reading all the books about lore and history and crap. I hope they haven't been skanky with that aspect.

I'm not into PC gaming yet, but I will be soon. I'm looking forward to the modds and such. I have to say though, downloading extra perks sounds kind of like cheating. They'd have to be very balanced......

You have to have a good eye for the high quality mods. Usually, the gameplay changing ones are not balanced at all, however some are. If they change the game enough (i.e. FOOK2 adding 200+ new guns to all the leveled lists), then the balance of the game is going to change, but in some cases it's for the better.

I wholeheartedly recommend Fallout 3. I love The Elder Scrolls, and I think that Fallout 3 is the best game that Bethesda has ever made.

I agree...even better than Oblivion, which I thought no game would ever be.
