They didn't talk about whether we would be able to see friends in a different colour on the HUD (e.g. a la COD, teamates in green, friends in blue).

That is quite useful to know where your friends are, esp. if the rest of the team svcks...

Anybody knows if there will be a different color than white (teammates) on the HUD for friends?

I'm pretty sure they'll have their names above them.

If you can't remember your friend's name, then I think you're going to have problems anyway...

I meant on the radar... So let's say you are way ahead of your buddy at an Ops Terminal and you want to know I close your buddy because he is a medic and you need to be revived to hold the terminal, it would be nice to know when he is about to show up... or if you ran out of ammo and you're hiding somewhere, your bud can find you to refill your ammo, etc...

Yeah, I'd rather they just make the friendly player names visible through walls, up to a certain range (longer than radar distance, which I hope is very limited).

Honestly, I don't think it's a particularly bad idea, and wouldn't say no to it if it's offered, but I don't think it's necessary either.
