Misc Wepons : V

I've been playing AC Brotherhood for the past half hour, and I just got an achievement for beating a guard to death with a broom.
Now, take a second to think about how awesome that is. To me, this was a very pleasant surprise. :lol:

This was most likely the best achievement in Brotherhood. And I was thinking, in Oblivion, they just had brooms, scythes etc as random misc items used to take up space.
...And then a thought occurred to me.
That's right... How awesome would it be to be able to use a broom/rake as a weapon? (Obliviously, it should do little base damage.) I'm not saying we should get an achievement with this, it would just be nice to see such misc items usable.

Be honest with yourself, you can't tell me that you've never had the urge to beat one of the guards with a dirty hoe.

Epicness.

No but seriously. In AC it functioned as a blunt weapon. Though, this would be a bit of an Easter egg so it doesn't really need a skill associated with it, imo.

I suggested this in the thread about people wanting to sweep the floor like NPCs.

I think any thing you can hold like a sword or axe should be able to be used as a weapon, even if they are really weak.

Not so much for our use, but I could see npc's chasing off rats with a broom, plus there's theres going to be some sort of wood axe.

There did seem to be an inordinate amount of unusable items in Oblivion. I liked it because it seemed to add depth to the world a little bit, but it would be cool if you could actually use those items, even if in a small way.

The only problem I see with this is that brooms, shovels, etc. would then be in the weapons inventory page, which I find stupid. Maybe if it would be possible to equip it from the Misc. menu.

Well if throwing weapon will become part of marksman skill again then we can grab clutter and throw it into enemy like bottles, as well as npc can do the same, thats can be nice for Bar Fights when actor will not actually become killed.
Making some utility items become simple weapons as well as can be usable in special idle anims isn't hard as well add some immersion to the game, so some lower class NPC can use sticks (blunt low level small damage and durability) and farmer equipment or kitchen stuff.

Allow throwing all things at not only weapons some of them do more damage according to many parameters, all can thrown items but need to have eagle eyes and precise movements of the firm steady hand (be good in marksman skill and agile) to actually use such clutter as weapon, as well as throwing knives daggers, darts, axes and javelins.

Telekineses was also enhanced by scripting it can be used in combat as well

All mods make interaction with world much more immersive the before and greatly enhance gameplay.
