Cape's

Post » Fri Mar 18, 2011 9:15 pm

Rocksteady was able to do a very decent cloak in Batman: AA. Cloaks AND capes should definitley be in. I was saying in another thread, a cape like the ones that the Spartans wore in 300! Those were epic.

Yeah, but consider the rest of the environment around you in AA. Skyrim has so much to process, I'm afraid we won't get cloaks (at least not cloaks with physics). Does anyone really want cloaks if we can't have physics? I'd still take it, for sure.

if they had any specific animation or even realistic physics, then yes! world of warcraft per example, has no physics but the capes has amazing realistc animations that make then look physicalized!

Capes/Cloaks/Robes/Hooded/Unhooded/Extra armour slots/Cover the armour - all sounds awesome to me. If they can get it to work with physics it would be awesome but I'd still be happy with it if there is too much going on already to include better physics on cloth. Can someone confirm, from what I read mostly everything in the game is supposed to react to things right? Like, trees catching fire, flags blowing in the wind, water current, snow, rain, trees, etc changing direction based on wind direction and speed.

This kind of physics on a cape would be EPIC - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iL0elSpObok&feature=related

I voted "Don't care", as it most approximates my feelings on the matter. I suppose if I actually didn't care, I probably wouldn't have read the first post, much less voted. Anyway, if they are in, great. If not, I won't miss them, and they'll be one of the first things modded in. :)

Yes there is nine years after Morrowind and five years after Oblivion, there is 2011 year "ladders and cloaks" curse must be already gone, so such things isn't hard to be done.
Some additional animated bones, no need cloth simulation if it still resource hungry, common thats level cloth work was done in both Morrowind and Oblivion but for creatures.

At least one robe, or cloak made of fur, or with fur trim for the colder areas in Skyrim, to include cowls/hoods.

Of course, a variety of styles, materials and colors, suitable for a variety of occasions.

I want a "don't care" option...else I'll be forced to vote "no," which isn't quite true but it's more true in my case than "yes."

how can something as simple as wanting a cloak or not be so complicated as to be made into more than two cases?

I would not mind capes, but I wouldn't mind if they are excluded either. (although I did use mods that added capes/cloaks in Oblivion .....)

That being said, if they do add capes, I really hope they can flow while you walk/run etc.
