Olivia Munn, not a real gamer.

"So hot this so hot that" seriously people.

Someone hasn't learned that outer beauty is the only thing that matters. Good thing too, because it lasts forever.

Morgan?

Yeah, I stopped watching X-play a long time ago (5 years ago). I just read G4's The Feed for gaming news and rumors. Over the past few years it has gotten a lot of clutter of articles that don't interest me, but it's easy to scroll past them and find what I want to read about - like with newspapers.

AoTS is... well, it doesn't have much to do with gaming. It never really interested me that much, but the juvenile and puerile stunts were/are just such a turn-off.

I'm still bitter to this day for ruining TechTV. The ScreenSavers and Call for Help were really good shows. I used to watch X-Play (started off watching Extended Play) before too, but then the reviews steadily became less informative and more filled with crass humor that really wasn't even that funny.

Attack of the Show is just garbage.

I remember when I first started watching G4, I didn't really like X-play at first, but I loved Judgment Day, Electronic Playground, cheat. Back then X-play reviewed alot more games but they were any good, only once in awhile would they review a good game, now they review just a few games a show and fill the rest with news and cheats which I thought was alot better. I did like AOTS tho, it was stupid but some one the stuff they talked about was good.

So she's hot. If that's all, I don't see why people care. :P

I still don't get the video.

It just seems like she was listing a bunch of things, and was most likely scripted to say the things she said so I really don't get this.....

This. She was obviously listing things she had done, because after she mentioned MGS4 she talked about being on a talk show in a bikini. Amazing how everyone immediately jumped to the conclusion that she had absolutely no idea what she was talking about and that she was NOT reading from a prompter.

I think in her own way she was raging at the 360 and it breaking every 2 seconds. Slight exaggeration I know. It only breaks every 2 months in reality. ;) Then there was a pause and she started on the next game. I think you guys are trying just a little TOO hard to bring her down, and why do you care? What if her being in the industry means she starts to like them later on down the line and a new gamer joins the fold? My point is people need to calm down.

This also. I could care less if she knew anything about games, or if anyone on G4TV knew anything about games for that matter. I just like to hear the news they have on games/game related stuff, not so much the reviews they give.

Of course I knew that , G4 only took her as a host because she was hot [censored] , hell I remember the girl before her who was on attack of the show and she knew her stuff . But G4 has built their own dang grave let them sleep in it......re-runs of cops what great programming.

Agreed.

And isn't Munn now over at The Daily Show? I hate her over there too. <_<

Just on a side note to all the Olivia Munn hate, shes gonna be on a new NBC (i think) show called Perfect Couples.

I saw a trailer on TV, featuring her, and it was quite funny.

Oh I remember when they were separate channels as well dang how long ago was that 2002-2003? I agree Xplay had crass humor but I was like eleven at the time so I liked it.

I miss fuel and cinamatic and some other shows they had also Arena!

I think he's talking about Sarah Lane.

I like how she didn't have the six appeal that Oliva had and that other woman that use to do the buzz. Also, I miss the radio show they had g4.tv something I forgot.

he was the co-host for AoTS which was never a gaming show to begin with. AoTS, originally dealt with technological things regarding new technologies and at one point was a very competent computer and network troubleshooting program where people would go for advice. (it also had two different hosts who I suspect did have CISCO or MIT certification and degrees. Then again it was not called AoTS back then.

last time I saw it, it mostly covered new internet trends and pop culture stuff.

Only ever watched G4 for Extended Play (pre-x-play, before Morgan Webb) and Judgement Day,

The original X-plays were good but by around 2005 the quality went down. Suffice to sayI don't watch TV very much and haven't watched G4 in over three years so I don't know what's going on.

doesn't surprise me though, she never struck me as a gamer anyway

for the record G4 was not always G4, nor was it originally a station "dedicated" to gaming.
it used to be called TechTV (which had a major Televsion program of the same name and was the precursor to AoTS) and it mostly focused on technological culture in general, which back then was not about memes or other shenanigans we see today but mostly focused on the literal breakthroughs and the business end of networking and computer science. In addition the station also acted as a launch pad for digital animators. There was a show called "EyeDrops" which, if I remember correctly, showcased indie animators and the work they'd do using Digital animations.

this was also the time when X-Play was known as Extended Play and, when I found the show, only stared Adam Sessler, but I know in the very beginning of that series Adam had another female host (who no doubt broke out to greener pastures I'd imagine)

Isn't that what she was caught doing with Justin Timberlake?

Edit: As to prevent that from being spam, is she hot? I guess. Is Munn a gamer? Couldn't say; I think she's a comedienne/talk show host/presenter by trade, but I couldn't say how she spends her free time. But if presenting herself as a sixy nerdess helps her rope in the ratings for G4, then I guess she earns her keep.

Maybe her interview with David Letterman last night would clear up the questions of her awkwardness. She moved to Japan as a toddler, grew up with that culture for several years, then moved back to Oklahoma (the furthest from Japanese lifestyle you could ever get), all the while not really having a legitimate father figure. That would more than likely mess up anyone's social skills.
