Otherwise, have you tried reinstalling Oblivion (with SI, patches etc). I've no idea why, but this happened to me also. Disabled all mods, still crashed. The usual tricks like deleting the .ini files, etc didn't work, but reinstalling the game worked fine for me. It may be the way your mods are installed though.
Mine were all installed manually into the data folder, etc. I am now using BAIN / Wrye Bash to install all my mods and I think it is ideal in making sure errors like this won't happen again in the future. In fact it's what It was designed for I believe.

Saying all this, I am no expert. So take this advice as it is.
