Sorry, they're not the same. Look more thoroughly. Compare the colors and designs to Oblivion's as well. You'll see the differences.

The elven armor in Oblivion was green tinted, that's why.

Why would Glass armor all of sudden look like metal? Oblivions Glass armor actually looked like glass, especially the swords.
What's the point of having such a unique armor/weapon if it just look like any other metal armor with "elven' ornaments/looks. Too me I don't see any Glass armor at all, and I bet they are holding some of these off until later to have something to show off.
