Best Vampire Mod?

Post » Tue Apr 12, 2011 3:17 am

So I had the LTD vampire overhaul and I didn't like that it did not have detect life. I also didn't like the whole bat, wolf and mist transformation. The unholy darkness abilitys are okay, but im 40 blood points in and still haven't unlocked much. I hope its not a glitch. Also my thralls can't feed. And besides the fact that the story and voices of it were cheesy it was okay. Is there something better out there yet? I just built a new computer and im looking for epicness.

Well, Nekhanimal's is pretty good. It overhauls the vampire system so you age, gain new powers, etc., and it works with some mods like Terran Vampires (which, if you're a WOD fan, you should check out).

Apparently, WOD stands for World of Darkness, which is a type of roleplaying, with dice and books.

Anyway, I recommend trying out SVVR (StarX Vanilla Vampires Revised). I'm not sure if it overwrites anything, though, but if it does you might want to use BAIN for installation. In fact, you might want to do that regardless, because it's awesome and will save you hassles in the future, guaranteed. :D

World of Darkness - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/World_of_Darkness

If you like Vampire games, check out Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines - it's by Troika, the guys who did Arcanum. It's a fantastic game - FPS RPG just like Oblivion.

I can't really recommend a good Vampire overhaul for Oblivion, aside from Duke Patrick's Nosferatu class vampires. That makes fighting vampires so much more fun.

More fun, much more dangerous and much more difficult to kill you mean. :D

But yeah Duke Patrick's Nosferatu class Vampires is great.

Combine it with this one and they become even more dangerous. And also all NPC's you fight if you want so be warned. :D

wouldn't recommend terran vampires, at least the current release. There isn't much to it as it is unfinished. there was a team working on it, but I'm not sure what happened with it. UD also takes into account how many days you are a vamp as well as blood points, so that may be why you aren't seeing as many powers as you think you should have. Also if the thralls aren't feeding then its probably a wrong mechanic with the game, like path grids or something, not necessarily the mod. It personally would be my recommendation, I just don't think it overhauls other in game vamps aside from maybe death animation.
