Play as a Sload?

Sounds like it would be extremely boring. You'd pretty much be playing a magical tank.

In case you hadn't noticed, this is a "lolthread" why so serious?

Also, he left off the 'sweetrolls' option.

This is an unforgivable oversight.

Playing as a Sload? That's stupid. Now playing as TWO sloads, that I could see happening.

No but I'd like to see them some time in a TES game. Not playable, but definitely as NPCs.

No! If that "slick 'o lard" appears in Skyrim, I will make it my mission to eradicate the obnoxious pustule from the game world.

I heard a rumour that the concept art for that thing involved a mirror and and rather large zit.

Why was this bumped? This deserves to just be closed and shoved away, or at the very least left to slowly sink its way down into the pages of forgotten threads.

Asking why it was bumped did bump the thread.
I don't see why it's not a valid thread. Presumably a bit tongue-in-cheek, but it's not malicious, off-topic, or otherwise inappropriate as far as I can tell.

And I really would like to roll a Sload necromancer, even though they likely won't be in the game... and the mod project would require a much better creature artist and animator than myself to do it justice.

I'm not really bothered to play as one, but I would like to see one or two in the game.

No Sloads, no Tang-Mo, no etc, unless they're very well done and differenciated from the other avaliable races. Gameplay with the current races is already too standart. I'd like first to introduce unique gameplay styles for each race, and once done it, THEN add the new ones.

On the other hand, I wouldn't mind to see Sloads in a TES game. Sadly, I see no reasons for a race of cowardy slugs with a cronical apprehension to anything remotely adventurous to go so far of Thras, and to a continent so cold and rough. If TES V were set in the Summerset Isles, then it could be possible...but Skyrim simply doesn't match them.

Sorry, folks. Maybe in TES VI.

Hell no, gtfo, after the Sload went to war against Summerset Isles and Valenwood and killed thousands of innocent people, they are at best case scenario hunted down and minced into little soylent cubes whenever one is seen.

This can never happen. (EDIT: As a playable race)

The only Sload we will probably ever see again, is when we kill lots of them in Sumerset Isles + Valenwood

Absolutely yes! Especially if they allow us to use necromancy. Part of the problem with earlier games is everything was to homogeneous, especially concerning size. It would be great to be able to play a rather large character!

This is the most biased "poll" I've seen in a while...

On topic, playing as a sload wouldn't be at all feasible from a lore standpoint. From UESP:

many older Sload would collapse under their own weight if not bouyed up by water or by magic means.

Understandably, this limits their activities on land

I'd rather not be restricted to water or a speed attribute of 1 for an entire playthrough

their ability to use tools is limited.

No weapons? No thanks.

The Sload Coral Kingdoms have generally followed an isolationist policy, with only limited contact and trade with Tamriel

With that in mind, why would a sload be in the middle of Skyrim?

I think your poll comes off a little biased.

None the less, remove all races except the Sload. The rest are puny and weak.

I love sloads.

They shouldn't be playable though, but I'd love to see them as NPCs.
