I haven't been able to skim the whole thread yet. But after looking at it lightly in the CS there appears to be no real point to joining the dark brotherhood as a double agent, as the mod does not add anything to the dark brotherhood quests, does not modify them in any way, etc.. was that going to be part of a future quest addon?


Hi, it was actually required in the initial relz, but no, you are right, it is not required anymore. No, I try to keep the mod as clean as possible to avoid conflicting with the vanilla quests etc...

Sorry guys, not been well lately, 1.5 will come eventually (new armour, stats as promised - and that may be all for a while unfortunately as I wanted to do so much more, but my energy levels after work are very low)

Hi, Coors916.

Just to tell a lot of people started playing Better Race Project combined with Integration.
They change birthsigns as well and as their place in the load order is further down, the changes made by your Shinobi mod are overridden.
Of course the quest is unchanged and fun. Even with FCOM I often go to challenge your ninjas... :D

PS: where is 1.5 or 2.0?

Just kidding. :D

But still waiting. :D

OK, been a long time I know, but R.L is just very important, and it's been a rough journey since I relzed this mod. Anyway, I'm back now with a window of opportunity to do some modding, and I'm going to implement the basic things (new weapons, armour etc... for which I have sought all necessary permission) I wanted to do, and most important of all, re balancing damage and $$ value. If I have time, I've been doing some work on Moo Cow's Island, so I might move the quest to there for compatibility. Birth signs huh, I may have to get rid of this and implement another way...

What's also great is to see some of the very big mods come/and coming to fruition, some of which are not mentioned here on these forums, and that has inspired me somewhat.

I have to say I was enjoying what this mod adds to the game even without starting in the cell and getting the start quest, but I'm at this point very certain it causes crashes, especially at the temple like others have mentioned.

And no, it is definately NOT related to quicksave, auto save or saves of any kind with this character every single save I have made is a new fresh save.

It's a shame but I'm going to have to uninstall it for now.

Hi Dreamsfar, I think it might be a mod conflict, or your system might be overloaded. In the 1.5 relz, I'm going to tone it down a bit as well, there might be too many Ai in the area. Also, it might be realted to the game engine itself, and a corrupted dead body of one of the ninja's perhaps. So many things, but the people reporting crashes of this kind are definitely in the minority for this mod, however, lets see with ver 1.5. !.4 was relzd three years ago, there could be many things interfering in that same region, so I'll be sure to take a look.

Hey guys, just a quick question on re-balancing. I am thinking along the lines of matching the weapons with the weakest daedric equivalent. Any thoughts? Also, I have the option to do completely away with the current armours present in 1.4n and with the permission I have from a certain someone, to include a completely new mesh that is far more appropriate entirely. What do you think for 1.5? Apart from also cleaning the esp through tesedit, I want to simplify things completely. Is anyone getting conflicts where the shrine is, as I also have a completely new world space (with permission from a modder who's done a huge amount of work on a massive island) and I've even been doing some re-texturing as well on some buildings (using cloud ruler temple as a base).

Let me know guys, as I'm running myself ver 1.5 now (just needs a wee tidy up in the data folders to delete all the old weapons and armour for the new ones), and I need about 1 Beta Tester. Blade of Mercy, you interested. I'll give you first dibs openly seen you've been such a great supporter :)

Looking forward to some feedback.

Now for the main reason I wrote this: Balance. A few things are off with the balance of this mod. For starters, the values are off a little. Making them much cheaper along with adjusting the strength would be an excellent idea. The next thing is, obviously, the strength of the weapons (And armor). I would recommend removing the "Fortify Blade" scripts on the weapons, along with dramatically reducing at least some of the stats. I would be interested to know which ones you are thinking of bringing in line with the daedric versions: The strongest ninja weapons or the weakest? I would recommend doing so to the strongest ninja weapons.

Lastly, the beginning balance is, in my opinion, the biggest issue with this mod. In the dungeons, some of the ninjas die. Compared to normal starting weapons and armor, their equipment (which can be taken) is ridiculously overpowered. I would recommend a weapons and armor set with low values and stats to give to those ninjas.

This is still a fantastic mod, and I can't wait for 1.5. Bear in mind that these are all just suggestions, so please don't take offense.

Also, if Blade of Mercy isn't interested, I'd love to beta test for you.

Actually when I made this mod, all my PC's were like lvl 40, so I wasn't really thinking about 1st lvl players for a long time. But yeah, agreed on all points, and the fortify effects are a good point also, I forgot about those, I'm glad you bought that up.

Alot of what I did in this mod was me learning how to do things, so I just did them because I learnt how to do it, and I wanted to do it as cleanly as possible, that part was really important for me too, but not as much to contributing to the community I have enjoyed partaking in so much.

Thanks for your comments, these are the type of reminders I need to hear. It's all constructive criticism, and thanks for contributing by playing my mod :) I'm looking forward to the relz of 1.5 as I'm using it at the moment, and it's so much better in the meshes and weapons.

Here is a mod I've often thought of trying but after reading the description - I'm confused.

The author seems to be saying that one should start a new game then goes on to say that a high level character is recommended.

So which is it?

You start a new char in prison and lo and behold you find a message and 2 bundles... you pass through an entirely different combats in chargen (seve, save, savr!)
After that visit Slash and Smash, you find new NPC who gives you quest.
After that take your time and don't do the quest before level 30+ (if you know what is good for your health...)

Very cool looking armors and weapons, very powerful enchantments but Coorse has put some really nasty traps... really, really nasty!

At the speed I play one character that could take a year to get to.

Well, I have different approach: I use MQ done mod which ends main quest in 15 seconds, gives you all fame and diary entries, then I use combination of 2-3 mods providing trainers up to level 100 and can become level 30 in less than 3 hours after I come out of the sewers.
The level 30 is not obligatory.It is a recommendation out of my personal experience with the mod. You have no chance under level 12-15 and if you cheat a lot, you can start around level 20. Otherwise prepare to die. No joking.
The traps and the ninjas who will be against you are really tough.

Kinda think Lvl.30 would actualy be pretty low. :whistling: .. But, you can Still play the game Fairly normal in the mean time :ninja:
