A Simple Multiplayer Option Possible?

Post » Mon Apr 25, 2011 12:35 am

My friends and I love Elder Scroll Games to the death and we're wondering is it possible to implement some sort of system where someone else can just jump right into your game and play? Or is it too late into the game productions stage to actually implement something like this. I know Elder Scrolls is a single player game but I always thought how cool could it be if someone could play with me in Oblivion rather than alone.

No, it is too late for multiplayer to be implemented and I am glad. Bethesda makes great single player games, there is not a need for multiplayer.

Also any multiplayer discussion should go here.http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1178189-official-discussion-of-multi-playerco-op-in-skyrim/

Too late to implement it even if they wanted the map that was created for SP would need a major revamp because its impossible with the tech they are limited too. '

This. I think co-op would be cool, but I think TES is just fine without it.

It's not likely that they will. There is still probably time to do it, but they have more important things to worry about first. Multiplayer isn't very high up on the list of things TES fans want. If I had to guess, Werecreatures are number one. For now, just expect that there isn't. Then later if it's confirmed not to, you won't be disappointed. And all the happier you'll be if it's in.

Guys, after Starforce9 linked to the official thread there was no reason the discussion should have continued here - if you want to discuss multiplayer use the other thread (and please make sure you read the first post to get the thread's ground rules).
