Help me unpack Apachii Goddess Store

Post » Mon Apr 25, 2011 5:42 am

1. Appachii Goddess Store v1.6 comes in 3 parts (unfortunately but there we are...)
2. The 3 parts do not open with WinRar.
3. Turns out 7z can do the job but this isn't mentioned and I changed names of some of the parts and now have to download again in order to have workable files.... sighs....

so, can someone answer me with comprehensive guide how to do it?
For example:
1. Download all parts.
2. Right click on ...001
3. From list of options choose...

and so on?
This is one of my all times favorites, I am eager to see the new goodies and instead 3 days am trying to figure how to do something I've never done before.

Probably should ask earlier but if someone of you, guys does not mind to answer, I would be back on track and really grateful!

Thanks!

I haven't seen the archives myself. I'll try downloading now. Might be possible to merge the files using HJ Split?

easieswt way to do it manually is just right click select extract to "file name" then move the files into your data folder either by selecting and dragging or with copy/paste...

I know the trick to this one!

What happens is, once all three parts are downloaded TO THE SAME location, unpack PART 1. Doing so automatically unpacks all three parts! Again, they must be in the same location for it to work, and the names can't be altered.

At least that's how it was when I did it.

Hmmm... is that what happened?
I removed 001 from the name of part 1, right click on it, 7z option, extract here, extracted really long time but did not work with part 2 and 3 regardless if th name was changed or not.
So, have I unpacked it correctly? unpacked folder size 3.66 GB.

If all worked as it should, then yes, all three were unpacked at once. Best way to verify is to go ahead and make a BAIN package from the unpacked files. The 7z you end up with should be way bigger than any of the single downloads. Mine is roughly 840mb (but that includes both the original meshes and their PyFFi'd alternatives, so yours will be somewhat smaller), so obviously contains more than part 1. And in game nothing is amiss.

You can leave the file names intact. No need to change them.
