I used to have a program that would convert my player character to a companion file i don't remember what the program was called ring any bells for any one?

The mod is probably Advanced Companions, there is another earlier version of this mod that adds a ring to a barrel in Bravil.
EDIT the earlier version is Unique Companions and they are both on TESNexus.
