So I was playing MP the other day ago and I kept getting 1 shot :/ So I asked in game, some dude said there is no 1 shot on the medium (which is what I was using at the time). There is a chance it could have been 2 shot, but it sure as hell felt like 1, and it happened every time when that guy was shooting at me, so I got a good feel as to whether it felt like 1 or 2 shots. It was one particular player, using the CARB-9, that kept doing it to me. Anyone else using the CARB-9 could not 1, or even 2 shot me.

Kinda suspicious if you ask me.

Any idea whats goin on here?

My guess would be they received the rank 2 enhanced damage buff from an engineer on their team.

rank 1 Engineer buff + Barnet = Body Shoot 1 hit kill on lights.
rank 2 Engineer buff + Barnet = Body Shoot 1 hit kill on mediums.

I don't mind getting one hitted by headshoots or shotguns.. but the barnet one hits are a bit much considering Sd promised It wouldnt be a issue

Yeah, this guy 1 shotting me wasn't hitting head shots....

If the game is built like that, then I think that's pretty excessive damage for a full auto weapon.

If the game wasn't built like that, well... do I need to go on?

Really, anyone can point, click, kill. I'd rather see kills take longer and have more emphasis on aim and movement.


EDIT: Also, it wasn't the Barnet 1 shotting me. It was the CARB-9. I can understand a sniper rifle 1 shotting (if head shot). But a SMG? Common now...

We all know the CARB did not one shot you.

Only way would be if the person had some super duper damage cheat, but I doubt it. You did not get one hit. I'd still guess several hits to the head with the finishing round hitting torso (if it didnt say headshot)

Can you even fire only one shot with the CARB-9? I'm on PS3, so it might be less of a challenge on other versions, but tapping fire with any SMG gets at least a couple of bullets going downrange.

I'm pretty sure it was a short burst, and probably you were hurt by something else at the same time that you didn't notice.

Or the other guy's a hacker, but that seems unlikely.

Carb-9 may deal the highest damage out of the SMGs... but it is FAR from a 1 hit ko... even with all the buffs this game can give the gun.

Well, there is no damage indication before I die. So, either 1 shot, or the CARB-9 has a hyper ROF (which would also be excessive for a slow movement game such as this).

Or you're laggy enough that you're only getting the hit warning after you've been killed.

If it's consistently the same person doing it, he's probably just got a bad ping.

EDIT: And yes, that's CARB-9.

The carb-9 is awesome (I use it as my backup weapon to an assault rifle)... if you're in range and you're in the crosshairs, you'll be going down. I've never managed to make it fire single-shot though (on PC), but rate of fire so fast you might think it's just a single shot when it hits you.
