Stats on guns increase with different attachment combination

Post » Tue May 03, 2011 8:01 am

I don't know if anybody else has noticed already, but certain combinations of attachments on guns warrant different increases and decreases in stats.

I think on the Tampa if you attach the yeotek sight it actually gives you a bigger boost in weapons switch speed then the iron sight does and some other random stuff that I've found. I can't remember all of them off the top of my head, but I remember seeing a bunch of other weird stuff like attaching a silencer to a gun then attaching a foregrip to the gun would warrant no stat increases, but decreases only, but if you decide to attach a muzzlebrake instead, it would give it a slight stability boost. ... stuff like that.

What?

Maybe I wasn't clear, but what I said is true.

Sometimes items give weird buffs depending on the item it is being attached with.

Just for example on certain guns the attachment that increases your weapons swap rate (Can't remember name for some reason) may give you a stability boost... when it usually doesn't.

Most attachments produce different stat changes on different weapons.

I've noticed that myself - some weapon statbars get hit hard by negative modifiers to certain stats, while others will barely be scratched with the same attachment.

And sometimes it gives a boost. The weird stat boosts is the reason I created this topic. It's like having a grenade launcher that boosts stability. (Had something similar happen).

I noticed this also, the attachments affect different weapons differently. Its not just a flat % or linear boost to stats. Hence why the strat guide doesn't list stat changes for the attachments.

I saw the Tampa one you mentioned and a few others I don't remember. Basically, stats increasing when they should decrease.

I think what he's getting at is that you're telling everyone what they already know and he's annoyed that you're wasting his time with this topic.

While it's nice that you're reminding people that different attachments offer better stat boosts, we all kinda knew that already.

It is kind of obvious when you see the bars change that the attachments effect it. Pointless topic.

^ Not pointless, pre-release everyone was under the impression attachments affected every gun the same

The next thing you're going to tell us is that you can change weapon or class in the middle of a match.
