Bashed patch causes oblivion to freeze on startup

I have a problem with my bashed patch in wrye bash. Im trying to get Fcom to work and when I try to create my bashed patch if i only select merge patches and the leveled lists options the game runs fine, but if i select any of the import options the game freezes at the startup loading screen.

Im using the latest version of wrye python and wrye bash and im only trying to import the main fcom mods *obsurio, francescos, warcry etc*

im following the guide from this thread

Its best to import everything that BOSS recommends. I'm not savvy enough with how the bashed patch functions though to be able to give much more help. You would have been better off posting this at the Wrye Bash thread.

Some notes on your load order:

09 FCOM_Convergence.esm [Version 0.9.9a7] - Update to UFCOM. MMM 3.7b3p3 requires it.

0E UOP Vampire Aging & Face Fix.esp [Version 1.0.0] - Use the Bashed Patch tweak instead and save a slot.

29 ExnemRuneskulls.esp - You don't need this with FCOM.

30 FCOM_WarCry.esp [Version 0.9.9] - Update to 109.

35 FCOM_Convergence.esp [Version 0.9.9] - Update to UFCOM as said.

++ FCOM_EntropicOrderRebalance.esp [Version 0.9.9beta2] - Don't use both this and:
++ FCOM_EntropicOrderhardcoe.esp [Version 0.9.9] - Choose one.

Start with that and rebuild the Bashed Patch - then repost your updated load order if you still have the issue.

Also, having Mayu's Skeleton tweaker checked in the Bashed Patch w/o having the actual mod will cause CTD on startup - so make sure it isn't.

Nope, still doesnt work.


I had some problems updating to UFCOM. After installing it using omm i saw in wrye bash that most fcom mods were red and on them said master esm missing. So i dont know if the install renamed the esm or something but what i did was manually import the fcomconvergence,esm from the unofficial fcom update.

Also while installing ufcom i got an error message saying runeskulls esp not found so i reinstalled it.

I also updated fcomwarcry and deleted the UOP Vampire Aging & Face Fix.esp and COM_EntropicOrderhardcoe.esp

I got it working!

I read some other threads where i got the tip to uncheck import actor spells and it worked. Im not sure what the implications of this is but the game seems to work fine now.

Try just unchecking FCOM_Convergence.esp under import actors spells. A couple of others have had the same issue if that's checked, but it's a weird issue as it works for most. Ideally, the load orders of those who have the issue should be compared so it can be pin downed.

I wonder if it might be connected to A Bloody Mess or perhaps Thievery in the city? Those are just about the only "odd" plugins in your load order.
