NO Claws!

Post » Mon May 02, 2011 10:47 pm

While the new models of the kahjit and the orc look vicous and beasly like they should be the kahjit still has no claws. This is just a little dissapointing for me since it would have made them so much badder.

However this ddoes hold some signifigance, this most likely confirms the fact that their arent race specific perks (only starting powers) and unfortunatly we still might see the strange civilized kahjit.

These new models suggest and point a much different atmosphere than oblivion. NO MORE civilized crap. Maybe I willl actually be able to kill someone in the street run away and get away with it. The guards in OB were better than the modern FBI.

Thoughts on no claws.

That's a whole lot of conclusions to jump to.

Isn't http://image.jeuxvideo.com/images/pc/t/h/the-elder-scrolls-v-skyrim-pc-1303119651-029.jpg wearing gloves?

I don't understand how you've drawn that conclusion.

My point is the kahjit looks like a human with fur and a cats head dropped on top. The image is not realy feral. Thats why I can jump to all those cunclusions. I used the apendage, claws, to represent all the cat like things that were missing from the kahjit.

I never thought of this. I would be great for the Kahjit to have retractible claws in combat. I guess Argnoians shouldn't have them, but the Kahjit should.

you make a good point, it could be possible that they are retractable. In which case the kahjit would automatically become the coolest creature in cyrodil.

How can you state this in one thread:
this type of thing was in OB. Unless we see someone carrying them they are not confirmed.

Yet make all of these assumptions in this thread?

Indeed, if you take the time to examine the image, the texture of the hands looks like a glove rather than a furred hand, so we really can't tell if there are claws or not, and even if Khajiit have no claws, I don't see how you can conclude from that that the game will not feature racial specific perks and the setting is as "civilized" as Oblivion, which we've been clearly told it isn't.

All that we can really see from that image is what the visible parts of the Khajiit model, namely, the face and a bit of the body looks like, and you can judge that for yourself but I at least like what I see, I can't see what the parts below the waist look like so I can't tell if they have human legs still or not, so I'll hold off on judging that, and just focus on what the image does show.
