Imperial Guard Look

Post » Mon May 02, 2011 9:10 pm

IMO, the helmet looks like an imperial dragonscale helmet from morrowind. The cuirass looks like the one from Oblivion, but with a less bulky look. I like it.

Blades wear Samurai looking armor, that's clearly Roman style. He looks a lot like the Imperial guard in Morrowind.
Actually, the hat and chest piece are very Roman. It's the orsimer in MW who wear samurai looking armor, for the most part.

I love everything in that pic btw, one of my favourite moments from the trailer :) On topic I'm guessing he's with the legion and it seems Beth chose the romanesque armor style which is awesome sicne it's a lot cooler than the one in OB

P,S: not that this wasn't already posted a couple thousand times :P

I think the coolest thing about this picture is the settlement. Its pretty expansive, but the most exciting thing is that it doesn't look like one of the major five cities ! :) The non city villages in Oblivion were always really tiny and were never bigger than four or five people and had no kind of local law enforcement, whereas this village has houses as far down the road as we can see, and it has its very own guard! This makes we excited for the size of the settlements in Skyrim!

The best thing is that there are at least 20 of them.

If you look closely towards the bottom of cuirass at the skirt type thing, it's the same as the imperial legion in oblivion.

Oh and the watermelons in that cart were pointed out, which is weird because watermelons are the last the you'd expect to find in Skyrim :P

Cool or not, I'll slay him and take his helmet as a trophy.

That actually looks like a dog, to me.

Dude the thing on the porch to the right is an old lady, you need to get your eyes checked.

I saw this picture in another topic talking about the new look of civilian colths and I noticed what looks like an Imperial Grard around the upper middle of the picture. Take a look http://i801.photobucket.com/albums/yy297/b_harrison/skyrim/skyrim_gameplay_village.jpg
He's a guard or a soldier of some kind, and judging by his Roman look hes with the imperial legion. Speculate.

Edit: I also like the look of the old lady. Looks like their making old people actually look old, and not just a young person with winkles.

I love this pic.

Ooooh, the guard's left.

Yeah, I was thinking of the porch sort of off behind the guard.

Reading is awesome.

Looks pretty awesome, on a side note I notice more about this picture, Hoods and Hats may be in evident by the old lady's bonnet thing, and the other dudes hood.I hope that isn't just and outfit, I hated the fact that in oblivion the DB armor was all in one thing. I like to mix and match. I wonder if you can choose whether that hood is up or down....

It's been confirmed that the town in the picture is a "small town", which makes me excited for what the "large" cites will look like.
