Character Creation Sliders

Post » Tue May 03, 2011 3:19 am

Something that really bugs me about Oblivion when trying to create a character for a new play through or just adjust your current one is when in the race menu and trying to change things like the nose for example, when moving one slider ALL SLIDERS MOVE! :banghead: :swear: <--- (yes it does actually make me feel that way)

Does anyone know of a way or of a mod even that will allow you to when adjusting something and moving one slider only that one will move?

There's a mod called OFF - Optimized Facegen Files. Just do a search at TesNexus for "Optimized Face" and it'll come right up.

This minimizes the "cross-slider interplay" amongst other things. It also helps to minimize neck seams and has improved age texture overlays.

If using OFF gets you interested in otherwise improving PC/NPC faces and bodies, you may want to see http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1170609-how-do-i-make-body-seams-as-unnoticeable-as-possible/.

I don't know of any mods that outright get rid of the relationship between the sliders, but http://tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=2170 can really help by allowing you to precisely note the values of the facial features. I believe this feature is also included with some UI mods.
