No, we're not being overly negative. If we don't make a point of these things, they'll never get fixed. And, comparitively, this forum has very little negativitey. Fanboyism is the greatest curse of videogames, and refusing to see flaws, even possible flaws, will invariably lead to inferior products.

This. Constructive criticism is good.

this.

it helps more if people declare what they don't like as well as what they do like. other wise the devs will always think every thing is perfect even when they are not.

sometimes game developers make decisions that are for the generic masses that want mediocrity. sometimes negative things arent alway negative things but issues that should be brought to light. the game will no doubt be amazing but it will by no means be perfect

There is a fine line between constructive criticism and negativity, and that line gets crossed a lot.

I understand some people like the direction, and want to praise it. However, some people do not like the direction. Without negative feedback everything would be terrible...

"Hey, how about we force every one to play as a Nord? Is that a good idea? It really demonstrates the atmosphere of the game..."

Positive feedback: "Yeah thats great!"
Negative feedback: "That utterly destroys customization."

You choose what is better for the game.

Not to say sometimes people are very negative, but thats their opinion, which should still be addressed.

Dogs chase cats
Cats chase mice
Complainers chase announcements

That's just the way it is...some things will never change ;)

some of it is constructive, but a lot is just idiotic
people want them to redo the dragons half way through, becuase they think that it should have 4 legs
people are complaining about the brightness of the sky
the snow falling being too light
they say they should add features that were already in past games
my favorite thread had to be one complaining about the lack of sleeves on armor
and its not like they actually listen to these forums, and for good reason

i think hes saying this cause the negativity can sometimes really bum a guy out  i mean not but 2 hours after the new info was released someone was complaining on how the cobblestones looked flat. im pretty sure everyone knows its necessary to point out flaws but it can be a real downer sometimes :(

No. It does not. It really rarely does get crossed.
According to [censored], however, the slightest mention of doubt in Bethesdas decisions regarding attributes, spears, whatever immediately deserves 20 counter threads about how people should stop whining.

F@n Boy is censored?

It seems to me that some people just have very thin skin.

F@n Boy is censored?

It was censored a long while ago when it became a buzzword used as an insult, particularly to fans of Oblivion or Morrowind.

The dragon one is stupid. The following 2 are fairly valid and easily changeable graphical complaints. Some features of past games are good, the presence of a feature in a title previously does not confirm nor deny how good it is.

Actually, I would say very pointedly that the expression of opinions on this forum is not a problem, regardless of the nature of the opinions. The problems are virtually without fail the result of somebody else's reaction to the opinion expressed.

Arguing with someone else's opinion simply because it doesn't match yours accomplishes little of any value. Starting a call out thread to complain about people whose opinons don't match your own accomplishes nothing of any value.

no I mean that they want to add something that was in the last game and they did not even notice it, like bribing guards

besides, I don't like being labled a negative person just because I don't like something and am voicing my opinion. I am really an optimist and have high hopes for SK, hopes that are higher than attributes being hacked and perks being the justification.
