if some one were to put out skin patchs/diodes that either warmed or cooled depending on what envioronment you were in at skyrim would you pay the extra cash (that kinda thing can't be cheap) for it.

also smell diodes for your nose too, as long as the smells were not offensive.

I bring this up because people don't talk about this much when they talk about virtual reality, idk how close we are to virtual reality but the skin diode things seems possible with todays tech. SK would be the perfect game to implement this kinda thing imo, the cold, the warm when at a lava flow, etc...

No. If I'm going to use VR for elder scrolls, it will be full on mega VR.

My computer and TV and console doesn't do any of that, and neither does almost anyone elses, so why would I pay extra for it to be a game feature?

EDIT: Wait, I misread, but still no. Sounds expensive and annoying.

but what if they could. idk if I would want my tv to do that though, imagine how the adverstising industry would abuse that capability.

Do I really want to be cold, wet, miserable, smeely and in pain while enjoying a past time? No.

I certainly wouldn't for Skyrim, but true virtual reality is a fun idea. I'd be afraid of a TES game with true virtual reality though. I might never return to the real world.

I'll just wait a few decades when we get the virtual reality where you play directly from your mind so you can actually feel the wind, smell scents and are actually in your characters body (yes, I'm not kidding, this has been projected to happen within 30 years)

So diodes are miracle devices that heat, cool, and create aromas? Who knew?

Anyway no, I'll pass on the "Mad Scientist VR" thanks. Even if it's done using something suitable, rather than diodes.

I lot of people on here are quite conservative to any changes made with TES, but I think quite a few people would enjoy this if the technology worked well and was affordable.

You know... about 12 ten years ago they had this USB device that would let you algorithmically mix scent chemicals to produce a custom odor. The joke was that RPG's could soon not just look like a sewer, but make your room smell like one.

Would I pay more for that? ah.. no.

Hey... here it is
